F2BM 🐢🌴

Our Bundaberg crew had a turtley awesome time at the Mon Repos Turtle Centre! 🐢👀

We explored all the amazing exhibits and learned heaps about our local turtle species including the threats they face from rubbish in the ocean, current population numbers, and what to expect in the upcoming turtle season.

🌊 November to January is nesting time, and from January to March the hatchlings begin to emerge 🥚🐢

After soaking up all the info, we set off on a scenic waterfront bushwalk, spotting all sorts of wildlife along the way, scrub turkeys, kangaroos, and a variety of beautiful birds

The Mon Repos team were so welcoming and even treated us to free cookies at the end

We wrapped up the day with a hands on Turtle Mosaic craft session. Each participant brought their own creativity and flair and the results were fantastic!

Be Active - Bundaberg 🌳🌲🌴

We had an awesome day getting out and about in our beautiful local area!

Our crew headed to Lake Ellen and Baldwin Swamp for a big bushwalk and explore. The scenery was stunning, and we spotted heaps of wildlife along the way. The group enjoyed it so much, they decided to go around twice taking different tracks each time!

There was even time for a bit of fun on the play equipment and our participants and support workers made the most of every moment.

In the afternoon, we played some games and caught up on a few previous art activities. A perfect balance of movement and creativity.

We’ve now wrapped up our Hygiene block, and next week we’re starting something new a focus on Mental Health 🧠✅

We’re looking forward to learning more and supporting each other through this important topic

Access Recreation is excited to launch a fresh, innovative aged care service, and we’re looking for a passionate Community Aged Care Manager to join our leadership team

Why This Role Matters:
This is your chance to shape a brand new service that empowers older Australians to stay connected, independent, and confident in their care all while remaining in their own homes.

In this role, you will:
• Lead and grow aged care services across Rockhampton & Bundaberg
• Provide clinical oversight and support for complex care clients
• Build strong partnerships with GPs, hospitals, and allied health providers
• Mentor and guide a team of Aged Care Coordinators
• Ensure the highest standards of care and compliance

About You:
We’re looking for a compassionate and strategic leader who brings:
• A Nursing degree and AHPRA registration
• 3+ years’ experience in aged or community nursing (with 2+ years in leadership)
• Strong clinical governance and risk management skills
• A passion for driving innovation and quality care

Salary: $106,000 – $130,000 per year (plus generous salary packaging)
Location: Rockhampton & Bundaberg Regions
