Exciting Opportunity – Expression of Interest: Clinical Nurse (Volunteer Board Role)

Access Recreation is seeking Expressions of Interest for a Clinical Nurse to join our dedicated and values driven Board of Directors.

As a not for profit NDIS provider, we are committed to delivering high quality, person centred supports across disability and aged care services. We are seeking a Clinical Nurse who can provide clinical governance insight, professional expertise, and strategic direction to support best practice and sustainable growth across our organisation.

This voluntary governance role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disability and older people while contributing to the future direction of a growing community organisation.

💗 What an incredible community event the Mother’s Day Classic Bundaberg was this year!

A huge congratulations and thank you to all volunteers, organisers, participants and sponsors who helped make the day so special. Seeing the community come together in a sea of pink for such an important cause was truly amazing. 🌸

We are incredibly proud that Access Recreation Bundaberg was able to support this fantastic local event as one of the sponsors. Supporting community connection, inclusion and meaningful local events is something very close to our hearts.

Thank you to everyone who walked, ran, volunteered, donated and showed up to support breast and ovarian cancer research. Events like this remind us just how strong and supportive the Bundaberg community really is. 💕

A great day out and about!

Our Free To Be Me group enjoyed a fun bus ride down to Nelson’s Park, making the most of the fresh air, scenery, and time together. From the journey to exploring the park, there were plenty of smiles, laughs, and great moments shared.

It’s all about getting out into the community, building connections, and enjoying new experiences and this day ticked all the boxes!

We provide tailored SIL supports designed to promote independence, build daily living skills, and create a safe, supportive environment aligned with each individual’s goals and needs.

Our experienced team works closely with participants, families, and support coordinators to ensure a consistent and person-centred approach.

At Access Recreation Bundaberg, we love celebrating the achievements of our participants.

Aldert has been actively involved in wheelchair basketball, showing great determination, skill, and team spirit every time he takes to the court. It has been fantastic to see his confidence grow as he builds new skills, stays active, and connects with others through sport.

Aldert also brings along a spare wheelchair and is always happy to teach anyone who is willing to learn wheelchair basketball. His positive attitude and willingness to support others is making a real impact.

He is one of the key reasons wheelchair basketball is happening within our community, helping create opportunities for others to get involved and give it a go.

We are proud to be part of Aldert’s journey and look forward to seeing what he accomplishes next.
