Today we wore purple to support Purple Day and raise awareness for epilepsy 💜

Epilepsy is a chronic neurological condition characterised by recurrent, unprovoked seizures. It affects approximately 1 in 25 Australians at some point in their lifetime, with around 250,000 people currently living with epilepsy across Australia.

Seizures can vary significantly in presentation, ranging from brief lapses in awareness to more severe physical convulsions. While epilepsy can be complex, up to 70% of people can achieve good seizure control with appropriate medication and management.

Increasing awareness and understanding of epilepsy is essential in reducing stigma, supporting early diagnosis, and improving quality of life for those affected.

We are proud to stand in support of our community and help raise awareness for this important cause 😊💜
