🧠 Advancing spine care in Central Queensland

We’re excited to introduce Mater neurosurgeons Dr Jason Papacostas and Dr Tony Tsahtsarlis, who bring extensive expertise in spine care to the Central Queensland community.

Treating conditions like nerve pain and sciatica, Dr Papacostas and Dr Tsahtsarlis are passionate about working alongside local GPs to improve patient outcomes through both conservative and surgical approaches.

They’ll be in Rockhampton for the 2025 CQ GP Conference, where they look forward to meeting local GPs and sharing insights during their spine-focused session on cervical and lumbar radiculopathy.

This morning, Mission Integration Manager Madonna Davitt held a beautiful Ash Wednesday liturgy in the Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg chapel. Attendees received an ash cross on their forehead, marking the start of the Lenten season.

Next week, Fr John Daly will hold a Lenten Mass at 10am, with morning tea to follow. We welcome all to attend!
