This morning, Mission Integration Manager Madonna Davitt held a beautiful Ash Wednesday liturgy in the Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg chapel. Attendees received an ash cross on their forehead, marking the start of the Lenten season.

Next week, Fr John Daly will hold a Lenten Mass at 10am, with morning tea to follow. We welcome all to attend!

Exciting news for Bundaberg…our theatre upgrade is now complete!

Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg’s new perioperative suite allows:

🦵 Two orthopaedic surgeons to operate concurrently

➕ More arthroplasty, joint replacements and major orthopaedic procedures

🥰 Improved patient and clinician flow

We proudly welcomed Member for Burnett Stephen Bennett MP to tour the newly renovated suites, purpose-built to meet the healthcare needs of Bundaberg and Wide Bay.

As we finish off our last operating lists for 2024, we’re excited to announce that our theatres will be closed for an extended period throughout January for some major upgrades aimed at improving patient flow.

We can’t wait to reopen the theatres on January 28th and see the incredible work the project team has put into enhancing our facilities for both staff and patients.
