๐Ÿ‘‰ I am excited to announce that I have added this new Qi Flow class to my schedule.

Since starting to learn Tai Chi late last year, I have been hoping to be able to immerse myself in this practice further. I was wondering how I could bring it into my own life and teaching. In this new class I teach Shibashi 1.

๐Ÿ’šWhat is Shibashi?

Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi Set 1 is a gentle, flowing Qigong practice that integrates Tai Chi principles with breathwork and energy cultivation. It consists of 18 movements, each designed to enhance relaxation, balance, and overall well-being.

๐Ÿ’šWhat are the benefits of the practice?

Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi offers profound benefits for both the physical body and energy system, promoting balance, vitality, and overall well-being.

The gentle, flowing movements enhance circulation of vital energy, ensuring energy flows smoothly through the meridians, which supports organ function and emotional stability.

Physically, Shibashi improves joint mobility, flexibility, and posture, reducing stiffness and tension while strengthening the core and lower body.

It can also regulate blood pressure, boost immune function, and enhance lung capacity through deep, rhythmic breathing.

Regular practice is said to detoxify stagnant energy, revitalize the nervous system, and cultivate a deep sense of grounding and connection to natural rhythms.

๐ŸŒ„๐ŸŒ„๐ŸŒ„ Mountain craving was back so I headed up to Mt Perry for a Sunday hike. It was a beautiful foggy morning. By the time we got to the top we were hot and sweaty.

๐Ÿ๐Ÿ For the adventure of it, we chose to go down a different road. It was a steep fire trail descent and a detour. It was magnificent with sweeping views and some huge trees. By the time we got back to the car we saw 2 little snakes, had a couple of slips and I had very sore knees.

๐Ÿ˜ฃ๐Ÿ˜ฃ Knees! Only last week I was talking about knees in my yoga class. Asking people to be kind and gentle with their knees. And here I am, unable to walk down the few stairs at home without wincing.

I took some homeopathic Arnica and had a good rest (horizontal and reading a book). I did Taichi and a short walk to move the joints. Then I asked Dr Google about my pain and what to do about it.

It did not surprise me that all the offered exercises were our usual yoga postures. Lots of feet and ankle work. Lengthening the thighs, calves and ham strings. Inner and outer thigh practices. All the things we do in class all the time.

I kept resting and minimising walking down stairs for another half a day. My right knee was still tender when my afternoon yoga class time arrived. I ran a 60 mins class and did all the poses with the participants.

Then another 60 mins class after that.

And after that my knee was back to normal. Not a hint of discomfort on going up or down the stairs!

๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿคฏ Ha!

And this morning, after another 60 mins of practice, Jacintaโ€™s sore knee from bursitis improved to the point that she cancelled her physio appointment.

Once again I am amazed at the power and potential of yoga for healing.

As a qualified homeopath, I offer holistic individual treatment that enhances the body's own ability to heal itself. Homeopathy is a natural, non toxic, effective form of vibrational medicine that has been practiced for over 200 years all over the world.

I have used homeopathic medicine to treat my own three children and hardly ever had to visit the Doctor. My children didnโ€™t need antibiotics for many years. My clientโ€™s children love to suck on the medicated sugar pills and the parents report improvement within a short time.

A friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer a few weeks ago.
Interestingly enough, we found out that at least 3 other women in my yoga class survived breast cancer. Wow.

This information made me stop and think.

If I got a cancer diagnosis (or any other serious disease) what would I prioritise doing? How would I choose to spend my last days of feeling well before starting treatment?
Looking at this question is daunting. It is a bit too big and too scary.
So here is another way to look at it:

What makes you feel alive?

Let me give you my top 5:
๐Ÿ’š Deep conversations with family members, close friends and even complete strangers.
๐Ÿ’› Time in nature. Animals. Plants. Rocks. Water.
๐Ÿงก Moving my body in different ways. It can be slow and soft or fast and sweaty. Even better, done in nature!
๐Ÿ’œ Being creative. Visual art, writing, gardening. Creating new classes and workshops.
โค Teaching and working with open minded people.

Looking at this short list says a lot about me. It is the blueprint of my current life.
So instead of waiting for the wake up call of a diagnosis, make your list. Not just a bucket list (thatโ€™s a good one too) but the list that is hiding behind it.

For me, the underlying truth about my list is Connection. Connection with people, the earth and with Spirit. Trusting that by doing the things I love, I am living my purpose.

Join us to experience a holistic intimate healing session in a safe and supportive space.
