A big thank you to Woongarra State School Year 4 for inviting me into their classrooms today. We learnt about all the different information we can find on food labels (wow, it’s a lot!) and how we can interpret that information to help us make choices. It was a lot of fun learning and there was even time for a few food jokes 😊

It was great to be part of yesterdays Pick of the Crop Forum. So fantastic for the kids to see the process of how fruit and veg makes it into our bodies right from soil, farming and pollination to food transport and then the science of how our body turns food into energy.

I was lucky enough to be able to work with some amazing local produce while we learnt about 2 fruit and 5 veg and packed a healthy snack ❤
