Sometimes, care goes beyond the expected, and this is one of those moments. 💛

As one of our new clients prepares to leave the hospital, our SA team came together last week, to ensure their next chapter would begin with comfort, dignity, and a true sense of home. Working late into the night, the team poured their hearts into every detail: assembling furniture, placing every piece with care, and turning a house into a warm, welcoming space.

It felt like a little Easter miracle, a fresh start made possible by compassion, teamwork, and a genuine commitment to care.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible SA team for going above and beyond. Your dedication and kindness make moments like this possible, and we couldn’t be prouder. 🌼

What is Out-of-Home Care?
𝐎𝐮𝐭-𝐨𝐟-𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 provides a safe and supportive living environment for children and young people who are unable to remain with their families.

Non-family based OOHC includes care delivered by trained professionals in structured, supportive homes, focused on safety, stability, and positive development.

Our team at Kanda provides compassionate, structured support to help young people feel safe, build confidence, and work toward positive outcomes. 💛

This is done through our Sanctuary Model and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) frameworks that prioritise emotional safety, shared decision-making, and community connection.

While it’s usually preferred to keep a child within a family unit, for some children that isn’t possible. Kanda’s out-of-home care services provide supportive, trauma-informed environments for children and young people who can’t live at home.
