We would like to take this time and share with you a bit about our beautiful and only daughter. She has long brown hair and the brightest brown eyes that can light up a room, Conissa has the biggest smile which is contagious, when you are with her you can help it but smile too. Our Princess Conissa is an energetic 5 year old Aboriginal girl who was born with significant brain damage, Microcephaly which means her brain is much smaller than normal, she has 2 cysts on each of her frontal lobes and major damage to her temporal lobes, she suffers from seizures and has a diagnosis of Autism, this has caused her to have severe global developmental delay and functions at a much younger age, even though Conissa is 5 she cannot speak and finds it very difficult to communicate and interact with her peers and general community people, despite her disability she is happy and vibrant with the most infectious laugh a child can have, Conissa has fought against all odds, she is a true fighter. even though Conissa is 5 she cannot speak and finds it very difficult to communicate and interact with her peers and general community people, despite her disability she is happy and vibrant with the most infectious laugh a child can have, Conissa has fought against all odds, she is a true fighter. We as parents of Conissa want to give her the best opportunity in life to be the best she can be, but to do this it can be a bit difficult, mentally, emotionally, physically and financially, Supporting Conissas needs takes a toll financially, with costs of on going therapy such as .speech, OT, and everything else that comes with having a special needs child it all adds up. Conissa often absconds when we are out in the community therefor this makes it difficult for us to engage in the community as a family, Conissa has been found on the road on countless occasions and I say we are just lucky that nothing horrible has happened to her, so we want to be proactive in keeping her safe, we are raising funds to keep Conissa by getting her an Assistant dog which costs $25,000, we need to raise $15,000 and Smart Pups organisation will donate the remaining $10,000. We are humbly asking if you would kindly help Conissa by making a donation to support our fundraising efforts.
