Last week, participants gathered at the Quest for Life Centre for an unforgettable 'Happiness is an Inside Job' workshop, held in conjunction with Community Links Wellbeing 🌱

Led by the incredible Petrea King – author, speaker, and founder of Quest for Life – the day was filled with deep insight and inspiration as Petrea shared that true and lasting happiness comes from within, not from life being free of challenges. She explored the foundations of emotional wellbeing and resilience, offering practical tools for managing grief, anxiety and depression, and showing how we can create inner stability, calm and clarity even in the midst of change. 🌿

Everyone received a copy of 'Your Life Matters', Petrea’s inspiring book, and enjoyed a nourishing light lunch and refreshments prepared with love by our amazing chef, Katie.

Petrea and Quest co-facilitator, Chantal Patruno, then went on to hold a 'Happiness is an Inside Job' workshop with a group of lovely and very engaged residents of the Levande Waratah Retirement Village in Bargo. It was a lovely afternoon of discussion, support and delicious food! 🍰

👏 Special thanks to Larry Whipper and Greg Duffy from Community Links as well as Danielle Johnson from Levande Waratah Retirement Village for helping to bring these wonderful days to life!

💬 Many men grow up learning to “tough it out” rather than talk about how they feel — but bottling up emotions can impact mental health, relationships, and resilience.

Our latest blog, "Why Men Struggle to Talk About Feelings", explores the cultural, social, and personal reasons behind this silence — and how we can change the conversation.

If you, or a man you care about, is ready to explore a healthier way forward, join us for The Heard Man – Men’s Weekend Program, 19–21 September. It’s a safe, supportive space to reconnect with yourself, your values, and others who understand.
