Hi Everyone, just a reminder that Bundeena Optical is still here for all your optical needs. Please note that most Health Funds do reset at the end of the calendar year, use or lose it, they will not accumulate if not used over a 12-month period.
Bundeena Optical can process Health fund claims on the spot through Hi Caps & we also have EFTPOS. We use German manufactured lenses from Rodenstock & can supply a frame or sunglass if needed or you can use your own. It can save you a drive out of town. All we need is your current prescription. Contact lenses are also available.
If you just need a frame adjustment or a quick repair, we are more than happy to help. If you’re not in a position to come to us we can come to you, not a problem. You may be surprised at what we can do when you have been told otherwise elsewhere, just ask.
After hours & weekend appointments are available.

Optometrists are now back to doing general eye examinations without restrictions & most of them are bulk billing. All we need at Bundeena Optical is a copy of your current prescription. If you are overdue for a check-up, now is as good a time as any, all it should cost is your time. Keep in mind that an eye examination is more than an assessment of whether you require spectacle correction, Optometrists are also checking for diseases of the eye. If your family has a history of eye disease, regular check ups are the smart way to go.
Bundeena Optical has a good range of frame & sunglasses on hand but if you already have a frame you would like to use that’s generally not a problem. After hours & weekend appointments are available.

Hi Everyone, just a reminder that Bundeena Optical is here for all your optical needs. We did many repairs & urgent jobs during the lock down period & we were more than happy to help. Thank you for your support. Optometrists are now doing general eye examinations with most of them bulk billing. If you are overdue for a check up, now is as good a time as any, all it should cost is your time. If you haven't used your health fund optical benefits they usually expire at the end of December, if you don't use you will likely lose it.

Hi Everyone, just a quick message to let you know that Bundeena Optical is available for any emergency repairs, adjustments or replacement eyewear. A non contact procedure is available & will be used whenever possible. We have in house workshop facilities that can usually resolve any problems immediately or very quickly.

Hi Everyone, a strange year indeed is rapidly coming to a close. For those who have invested & maintained health fund cover, optical extras are one of the few tangible benefits that you can claim. If you are yet to claim your rebate this year be aware that the general rule of thumb is use it or lose it. The end of year for most health funds is 31st December. Bundeena Optical can provide many options & alternatives for your optical extra's claim. Prescription sunglasses, digital eyewear, contact lenses or a back up pair to name a few. We also do "no gap" spectacles, with a good selection of frames on hand. Please call if you have any questions & we can get you organised. Take care.

Hi Everybody, just letting you know that Bundeena Optical is open for business. We have a fresh range of optical frames & sunglasses to cater for most people & for most budgets. Since the recent home schooling situation we have had a number of enquiries concerning children's vision. If you feel that maybe your child isn't seeing as well as they should, there is a fair possibility you may be correct. Under the recent circumstances parent's have been in a better position to observe their children more closely. An eye examination with an optometrist is the best plan to resolve any concerns. As an examination is usually bulk billed, all it is really costing you is time, a pretty good deal for peace of mind.
