January baby visits 🤍

The year has started with newborn cuddles, familiar faces, and some really special return visits.

A couple of the families who came through the rooms this month were back again, this time with their newest babies. Being trusted more than once is something I never take for granted.

January visits always feel a little quieter. A chance to slow down, check in, and support families as they settle into life with their babies.

Grateful to begin the year this way.

As the year comes to an end, I’ve been thinking about the many women and families who’ve come through the rooms, each with their own story.

Some journeys were full of excitement and joy. Others were harder than anyone expected, shaped by loss, uncertainty, or grief. All of them mattered.

I’m so grateful to the fathers, partners, grandparents, friends, and supporters who stood beside the women in my care. And to the midwives and medical colleagues I work alongside. Your skill, kindness, and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.

Thank you to every family who trusted me during such an important chapter. I don’t take that trust lightly.

Here’s to gentler days, healing where it’s needed, and hope ahead.

Two beautiful families visiting for their 6-week check, two very different stories, but the same sense of calm and connection in the room.

There’s always a bit of laughter, a few baby cuddles, and those lovely moments where everything just feels steady again.

That’s what I hope every visit feels like, calm, safe, and trusting.

Back in the rooms with Chikako, Daniel, and baby Yuta for his 6-week check 💙

Yuta took his time coming into the world after a long labour, and seeing him thriving now makes this visit even more special.
The strength and resilience mums show in pregnancy, labour, and recovery never stops to amaze.
It’s such a joy to reconnect with families in these early weeks and see how far they’ve come since birth.

Luckily, the best part of this 6-week visit wasn’t the outfits — it was celebrating Aizel and Christian settling beautifully into parenthood with baby Carlene 🤍

Seeing Jess and Luke again — now with baby Maeve and her proud big brother Phoenix — was such a lovely reminder of how special continuity of care can be.
Each baby brings their own rhythm, personality, and joy. Being able to care for the same family through both pregnancies and meet them again in these early weeks is a privilege I treasure.

It was so lovely seeing Stella and Kristopher again — this time for baby Arianna’s 6-week postnatal check-in 🤍

This is the second time I’ve had the privilege of caring for Stella through pregnancy and birth, and it’s always something special to reconnect in these early weeks and see a family settling into its new rhythm.

Arianna is thriving, Stella is recovering beautifully, Kristopher is already back in the groove of newborn life & big brother is loving all of it!

Thank you both for your trust once again — it’s been an honour to be part of your growing family’s journey 💫

It was lovely to see Stephanie and Lucas again — now as parents of two.

I had the privilege of caring for them during both of their pregnancies, and it’s always something special to be invited back for the next chapter.

Baby Byron made himself heard during the photo (as babies do), while Atticus took it all in stride as a very capable big brother.

Stephanie and Lucas — thank you for your trust, again. It’s been a real pleasure to walk this path with your family.

Miles, you’ve got the calmest, most loving mum — and it shows 💙

Catching up with Isabella and her beautiful boy recently felt like a full-circle moment. From pregnancy to now, it’s always incredible to witness just how much strength and softness coexist in new mums!

Isabella was grounded, present, and absolutely smitten — and who could blame her? Miles is already the sweetest little soul.

Three generations in one visit 💙
Chyn came by with her beautiful baby boy, Oli — and her lovely mum (Oli’s grandma) by her side.

The early days of motherhood aren’t always easy, seeing her so connected with Oli, supported by her mum, and finding her rhythm — was truly moving.
