Free flu vaccines for Queenslanders starts today! 📣

Protect yourself and your loved ones by getting a free flu vaccine, available to all Queenslanders aged 6 months and older until 30 September 2025.

The free flu vaccine will be available at providers such as GPs, pharmacies and community vaccination centres.

Good hygiene behaviours like washing hands, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying home when sick can help stop the spread of the flu, but for the best protection, get vaccinated. 💪

Erectile Dysfunction (ED) can feel like getting skipped in Uno—frustrating and unwanted. But it’s something many men face. 😯

ED is when you can't get or keep an er****on during or before s*x. If you have experienced this, you're not alone and it's more common than you think. Erections don’t always stay, and that’s okay. ❤️

It can happen to anyone. Sometimes you can lose your er****on if you're anxious, stressed or under the influence of alcohol.

Besides it being a mood killer, it can also affect your mental wellbeing and relationships. It's also very normal for the firmness of your er****on to change as blood moves through your body.

If ED is a card you keep getting dealt, don't skip the signs as it could indicate an underlying health issue, and we'd recommend speaking with your GP. 👨‍⚕️

Good afternoon to all of our patients and families.

- Did you know that all Queenslanders qualify for FREE flu vaccines for 2024!
They can be given from 6mths of age, and we have lots of stock - so please book in for your annual flu vaccine.

-We are proud to have a good supply of covid vaccines available, and a new strain has been circulating so if it has been 6mths - 12mths since your previous vaccine/ infection please book in for a booster, and our friendly nurses can administer it for you.

-RSV vaccines are in stock for those infants born after 1/2/24 and

Introducing Dr. Abby Alaia. We are excited to have Abby join our friendly team of local GP's in the heart of Burleigh. She will start 1st of May 2024, consulting our local patients Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. Appointments usually available same day, mixed billing available.

After finishing a Bachelor in Biomedical Science, Dr Abby Alaia went on to complete a Masters in Genetic Counselling and then completed her medical training at Griffith University on the Gold Coast before working at the Gold Coast Hospital.

During her medical training she spent a large portion of her time working in rural and remote Queensland which is where her love of general practice first began.

Having worked in the same practice for the last 10 years, she is now excited to be working closer to home and her two daughters.

Dr Alaia has a particular interest in womans and children’s health, teenage mental health and has been working with the “GP in Schools Program” for the last 2 years. She is also a trained cosmetic injector.
