2024 Hockey World Cup Champions
The Mens 45s Australian team has been such an amazing experience to be apart of. The players, off field staff and families welcomed me like I'll never forget. I am so privileged to have had the opportunity to work with each of them and made some amazing friends along the way.
The journey to the grand final in the 2024 Masters World Cup for Australia’s Men O45 team has been extraordinary. Every game showcased the skill, resilience, and tactical brilliance that makes this team unstoppable.
Australia’s opening match against South Africa set the tone with a commanding 4-0 victory.
Australia then turned up the heat with a 9-0 thrashing of Bangladesh IMC team.
Malaysia saw another masterclass in attack with a 6-0 victory. In the quarterfinals, Australia shut out Canada 4-0 with a mix of penalty strokes and field goals.
The semi-final against the Netherlands was a statement of intent—a stunning 8-0 victory. Australia’s relentless attack overwhelmed the opposition, with five goals in the third quarter alone. Each player’s contributions highlighted the depth and cohesion of the squad.
Facing South Africa again in the gold medal match, Australia continued their dominance with a 5-1 victory. Tactical precision and strategic brilliance were again on display. Goals came from well-timed penalty corners and dynamic field plays to clinch the Gold.
