Marathon Therapy is a different way of doing couples therapy — instead of two hours each week, you spend 2 full days working through things together.

One Couple - One Therapist

For many couples, it feels more focused, more productive, and actually less overwhelming than spacing things out over weeks / months — because you can finally get some traction, together.

If you’re curious and would like to have a chat, you’re very welcome to call K-J on 0420 434 628.

A little feel-good fact for your day 🍫

Chocolate (especially dark chocolate) can actually help lift your mood. It contains compounds that can support the release of serotonin (your brain’s “feel good” chemical), along with small amounts of caffeine and theobromine for a gentle energy boost.

It also provides magnesium, which plays a role in reducing stress and supporting relaxation.

So yes… that piece of chocolate can genuinely make you feel a little better 😊

There’s a quiet myth that great relationships should just happen — that if you’ve found the right person, everything else should fall into place.

But the truth (and what decades of research shows) is that love is something we *build*. In the small moments. In the way we listen. In how we repair after things go wrong. In choosing connection, again and again.

That’s what the Art and Science of Love Weekend is all about.

Across two days on the Gold Coast (20–21 June), couples step out of the noise of everyday life and into a space that’s calm, structured, and surprisingly hopeful. It’s not about being put on the spot or “fixing” everything overnight — it’s about understanding each other in a deeper way, learning practical tools that actually work, and remembering what brought you together in the first place.

Some couples come feeling strong and wanting to invest in what they have. Others arrive feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure where to go next. Both are welcome — and both tend to leave with more clarity, more confidence, and a renewed sense of “we’ve got this.”

Because good relationships aren’t luck.
They are built — together. 💛

Grief isn’t something to “get over” — it’s something we learn to carry, slowly and in our own time. Be gentle with yourself; healing doesn’t mean forgetting, it means finding a new way to hold what mattered. 💙

So many couples grow up believing love should just fall into place — but strong, lasting relationships are built on skills, understanding, and intentional connection.

Based on decades of research by Drs John and Julie Gottman, the Art & Science of Love workshop brings practical, evidence-based tools to the Gold Coast in 2026, facilitated by John Flanagan and Brhea Ind from Burleigh Heads Psychology and Relationship Clinic.

Over two supportive days (23–24 May or 24–25 October 2026), couples learn how to communicate better, navigate conflict well, and strengthen the friendship and emotional intimacy that sustain partnership long term.

“Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is admit that you’re human and you don’t have to do it all alone.”

Just a little reminder for anyone who might need it today.
