There's a new way to protect your children against the flu this year. 🙌

For the first time in Australia, a needle-free flu vaccine in the form of a nasal spray will be available and free for children aged two to five years (before they turn 6). It's a new, easy way to protect your child this winter.

It will be available for free through GPs, pharmacies, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Health Services, and other community immunisation providers.

Good hygiene behaviours like washing hands, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying home when sick can help stop the spread of the flu. For the best protection, get yourself and your children vaccinated. 💪

You can choose whether you'd like your child to have the nasal spray flu vaccine, or the usual needle flu vaccine. Check with your GP when the vaccine will be available.
