Our Story
We created Veego as we wanted to make a vegan protein powder for people that had fantastic health benefits but also tasted equally amazing. All of our Veego products are 100% Plant-Based, Gluten Free, Dairy Free and made right here in Australia! The idea for Veego was actually born in 2018, but we didn’t launch until 2020 as we couldn’t quite nail a blend of ingredients that ticked all of the boxes we had.
While there have been some vegan protein powders on the market for a while, there always seemed to be something lacking about them. Being the sticklers for perfection that we are, we really wanted to create a plant-based protein that had a good texture, was rich in protein sourced from high quality ingredients, all natural, and of course tasted great.
After nearly 2 years and over 13 different blend variations, agonising over how to create the perfect vegan protein, we finally found the right one! After painstakingly hand picking each ingredient we managed to create a product that met our strict criteria.
To produce a good texture that wasn’t sandy or gritty we used multiple sources of protein to form the base of our blend, we used a Pea Protein Isolate rather than just a Pea Protein which has been known as a cost cutting alternative within cheaper brands. In addition to our Pea Protein Isolate, we’ve added the holy grail of protein sources – H**p! Known to help improve metabolic function, increase immunity and a whole other range of benefits, we couldn’t resist throwing some in there. All of our products go through a rigorous taste test to ensure your taste buds get a real workout when enjoying any of our treats!
