These physie athletes aren’t waiting for their 2026 syllabus to drop. They’re already refining their long-line balances and panches with intention and control.

Building strength and technique now means less stress and more confidence when competition season hits. Smart training isn’t about doing more, it’s about preparing your body for what’s coming.

If your dancer wants to level up their capacity before syllabus season begins, our performance physio assessments identify exactly where to build strength for their specific demands.

The negative thought loops? They’re real and they slow your healing.

Swipe to see the most common mindset traps we hear from dancers and athletes and how to shift them into recovery focused beliefs that actually help you heal.

You’re not broken. You’re rebuilding. With the right approach, you’ll come back stronger.

Why core stability is the foundation you can’t afford to overlook.

As physiotherapists, we see it time and time again. Dancers and athletes focusing on technique, flexibility and strength training while overlooking the one thing that ties it all together: a stable, functional core. Here’s the reality, your core isn’t just your “abs.” It’s the deep stabilising system that controls your spine, transfers power through your body and keeps you moving efficiently and safely.

When your core is working properly, you move with better control, generate power more effectively and significantly reduce your injury risk. When it’s not, you’re setting yourself up for lower back pain, hip and knee issues and those frustrating compensations that hold you back from reaching your potential.

The good news? Core stability is trainable. It’s not about endless crunches or holding planks until you shake. It’s about quality, control and teaching your body to stabilise under the demands of your sport. Whether you’re preparing for competition season or coming back from injury, targeted core work should be part of your training plan.

If you’re experiencing lower back pain, feeling unstable in movements or simply want to build a stronger foundation for performance, our team can help. We’ll assess your movement patterns, identify the gaps and create a program tailored to your goals. Our Clinical Reformer classes are also designed specifically for functional core training that translates to real movement.

〰️ DM us to book your physiotherapy assessment or enquire about class options. Your core will thank you.
