Boheme + Body Yoga Studios We make the practice + the teachings of traditional yoga accessible for all bodies to experience❤️‍🔥 Everyone has one. It's malleable, forever in flux.

There is one thing on earth we all possess, a space we all inhabit. It's the first thing you are given and the last thing you leave. It can be shaped, sculpted, trained, tweaked, toned, sustained but never abandoned. It cannot be duplicated. It is wholly unique, wholly yours, yet only you can make it whole. It is complete and perfect, yet requires constant renovation. To maintain it you must move it. To restore it, it must rest it. It requires a balance of movement and stillness to survive. If you work it, it will work for you. Your relationship to this space will affect the quality of your experience on this planet. It is a space in which life shows up. It is your body. Your body is the space for you. We are the space for your body.

Asana is the aspect of Yoga that most of us are familiar with, usually we start our Yoga journey's lured in by the physical desire to stretch, heal + move in new ways.

Asana is often translated to posture or pose.
Though it’s true meaning translates to ‘a steady, comfortable seat’.

While it’s often associated with the postures, its true purpose is to prepare us for the deeper stillness of meditation.

The more comfortable we become with the practice we begin to utilise the Asana, the shapes made with our body, to shape our energy, our mental state + ultimately our whole lives.

Consider Asana, your daily movement, as the bridge to your inner world.

This is why it is vital to understand the energetic impacts of the pose categories.

We will be taking a deeper dive into this throughout this season.

For now the invitation is for you to bring your own curiosity to your practice.

The Boheme theme for Autumn will be balancing + integration in our class, workshop + supportive practice offerings.

Energetically we will be aligning with letting go, regulation whilst creating structure + rhythm.

We will be utilising Asana to prepare the body for Autumn, think lots of twists + grounding postures like Warriors balancing our daily practice with both Vinyasa for the movement of energy + Yin for the conservation.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine Autumn is dominated by the Metal Element.

Supporting the shift in energy towards letting go, contracting + going inward.

With a focus towards the Lung + Large Intestine Meridians which focal points are boosting immunity + detoxification.

In class this means a spotlight on the upper back, shoulders, and chest to open the Lung + Large Intestine meridians.
