It gives the FW committee great pleasure to announce that the FW’s will be sponsoring 4 x Burleigh Ironmen/women for the upcoming 6 x Nutri Grain Series Races which will be held over two weekends (14/15/16th January @ Bondi) & (4/5/6th February at Kurrawa). This will give us a 10% stake in the iron series (4 athletes out of 40)
The small financial support will assist the athletes over the two weekends in a sport that currently provides rewards for hard work (training for 4 disciplines).

We wish the all the very best and will have a for all gathering tomorrow afternoon around 4pm at Burleigh or Talle (pending on surf and their training session)

Jy Timperley (2nd in Series last year)
Corey Fletcher (trialist and great on board & ski)
Brielle Cooper (youngest person ever to win a Nutri Grain series 2017)
Lilly O’Sullivan (17 years old and a young superstar)

The 4th annual ‘Craig Blanch’ ashes cricket game between the Friday Warriors and the police will go down in history. Winners were the Friday Warriors 🤙. That makes the series tied 2-2. Next year will be BIG! Thanks to all who came out.

I can’t make Friday coffee due to coaching but will see all of you 3pm at Mallawa Oval Palm Beach.

The Friday Warriors teamed up with other local cycling groups last Monday morning for what’s becoming an annual pre Christmas group fun ride. Well done to FW Phil Campbell who organised it. Phil basically is the village bike of the GC, and rides with anyone who will let him. 😂 proud to call you as a Friday Warrior Phil.
