Building the Burnie Health Hub: Our Consultant Team is on Board.

We’re excited to announce that the full consultant team for the Burnie Health Hub has now been appointed and have been working hard at delivering our vision.

This talented group of architects, engineers and project specialists brings together deep experience in health infrastructure, community engagement and sustainable design. Together, they’ll help us deliver a modern, patient-centred facility that supports GPs, pharmacy, medical imaging and health service providers under one roof.

Their collaborative approach will ensure the Hub reflects the needs of our region and sets a new benchmark for integrated care in North-West Tasmania.

A new chapter has begun at the Burnie Health Hub.
As of July 1, TML Pathology opened their doors — the first tenant to activate the site (other than our friendly resident possum).

Open to the public:
Mon–Fri: 7.30am–4.30pm
Sat: 9am–12pm

This diagnostic laboratory will support both North West Regional and Mersey hospitals and accept referrals from all GPs. As TML’s main laboratory in Tasmania — and their only 24-hour facility, this milestone marks a huge step towards more affordable and accessible healthcare for our region.

By diverting thousands of patients annually from local Hospital’s, the Burnie Health Hub will help ease excess demand on our health system. With a simplified patient experience and a trusted multi-disciplinary approach, it delivers comfort, confidence, and care.

When Jack Muir Wilson together with his brother, Dr Jerome Muir Wilson first dreamed up the Burnie Health Hub, it was never just about restoring four walls. It was about taking a long-abandoned university building in Park Grove and transforming it into a space where healthcare on the North West Coast could finally be more accessible, inclusive and community-driven.

The promise of an urgent care service was born with the Health Hub itself — an election commitment tied directly to the concept Jack and Jerome created for our region.
