ANZAC Day has always been about reflection, and tradition, and for many of us, that includes the simple ritual of baking ANZAC biscuits.

If you’re looking to make this your tradition, here’s a classic recipe that never fails:

🥣 1 cup rolled oats
🥣 1 cup plain flour
🥣 1 cup desiccated coconut
🥣 ¾ cup brown sugar
🧈 125g butter
🍯 2 tbsp golden syrup
🧂 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
💧 2 tbsp boiling water

Mix the dry ingredients, melt the butter and golden syrup, then stir in the bicarb mixed with boiling water. Combine, roll into balls, flatten slightly, and bake at 160°C (fan) for 10–15 minutes depending on how chewy or crunchy you like them.

Simple, comforting, and a family favourite.

🌞🌻Getting outside isn’t just a nice idea, it’s one of the simplest ways to support your health.

A gentle walk, a slow bike ride, or even just sitting at the beach can help reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, and give your nervous system a reset. Fresh air and natural light also play a big role in boosting mood, improving sleep, and helping your body feel more balanced.

🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️You don’t need to push hard, consistency matters more than intensity.

So this weekend, take 10–20 minutes to step outside. Move a little, breathe deeply, or simply sit and unwind.

Your body (and mind) will thank you.

Feeling stiff after sitting too long? It might be time for a stretch break ⏰ - Click the link below to download a handy stretch guide from atWork Australia

When we stay in one position for extended periods, our muscles tighten, joints become restricted, and posture can start to slip. Over time, this can lead to discomfort not just in your back, but through your neck, shoulders, and legs too.

The good news? Regular stretch breaks can make a real difference.

Here are a few simple ways to build them into your day:

• Set a reminder – Every 30–60 minutes is a great place to start
• Stand and move – Even a short walk or change of position helps reset your body 🚶‍♀️
• Stretch gently – Focus on areas that feel tight like your neck, shoulders, back, and legs
• Breathe deeply – Slow, controlled breathing helps your muscles relax
• Keep it consistent – Little and often is far more effective than one big stretch at the end of the day

Small habits like this can go a long way in helping your body feel better day to day.

🛀Run a bath and add Restore! Restore Health Magnesium Bath Flakes are a concentrated form of magnesium chloride designed to be absorbed through the skin while you soak. Magnesium plays an important role in muscle relaxation and nervous system regulation. When levels are low, we can be more prone to tight muscles, restlessness, and difficulty switching off at night.

A warm bath with magnesium can help:
• Ease muscle tension after a long day
• Calm a busy mind
• Support deeper, more restorative sleep
• Assist recovery when you’re managing neck, back, or joint discomfort

We stock a range of magnesium products - if you’d like guidance on how to use these in your day-to-day wellness, just ask one of our team - 07 3888 5166

🤔How'd you sleep last night? Did you know that the recommended lifespan of a typical pillow is 18 months to 2 years? After that, they begin to lose their shape, support, and hygiene integrity — even if they still look fine on the outside. A pillow that no longer holds its structure can allow the neck to fall out of neutral alignment, contributing to stiffness, headaches, and disrupted sleep.

😴We stock a carefully selected range of supportive pillows designed not just for comfort, but for proper neck and spinal alignment. The right pillow can play an important role in both preventing strain and supporting recovery from existing pain. Our chiros will help you choose the right pillow for your needs, so if you’re waking with tightness or discomfort, it may be time to consider whether your pillow is still doing its job.
