Common set of Hip Flexors are:

Hip flexorsโ€ is the umbrella term for a group of muscles surrounding your hip joints

- Psoas

HIP FLEXOR FACT

If you have tight hip flexors, your pelvis will tilt forward, a posture known as an anterior pelvic tilt.

This happens because the tight, overactive hip flexor muscles pull the front of your pelvis down, which in turn causes the lower back to over arch.

This postural imbalance also leads to weak glutes and abdominal muscles, which are unable to counteract the pull of the hip flexors.

This pose is included in this week's class in the warm up sequence.

Tight quads can cause the pelvis to tilt forward potentially resulting in low back pain.
