Sharon Todd, Aboriginal Funeral Director
Sharon has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Aboriginal Community Management and Development, and a Cert II in Leadership. She has extensive work experience in the public and private employment sectors specialising in procurement and project management. She founded Towards the Dreaming Funeral Services to fill an important void, to bring culture and traditio
n, back to funerals for Indigenous people, and others who wish to practice and pass on their funeral traditions. Warm, compassionate, and supportive, she inherited her dad’s strong work ethic, and she strives to help people at every opportunity.
“Us mob connect, we connect through the love of family and extended family, importantly we share this connection when we lose someone to death, we come together and grieve together – there is no timeframe. Death is not our enemy, but it can be very traumatic, and we need to grieve and heal together, our way. I want people to always remember the funeral of their loved one as being a very special day.” I want each anniversary to be remembered and cherished by that memory.
