A relaxing day by the ocean for our Archbishop Goody residents.

Recently, residents enjoyed a scenic trip to the shipwreck at Coogee, taking in the beautiful views, calm ocean and fresh sea air.

While many agreed it was a little too cold for a swim, they certainly enjoyed watching others brave the water!

A wonderful day out in York for our Archbishop Goody residents!

Recently, residents enjoyed a trip to the historic town of York, with many reminiscing about past visits and sharing special memories along the way.

The group explored the Motor Museum, enjoying the wide range of vintage vehicles on display, before stopping at the Castle Hotel for some classic pub grub. Residents were delighted by the warm hospitality from locals and the generous meal sizes, there were definitely a few takeaway containers needed!

A fantastic day filled with laughter, memories and great company. Safe to say, our residents would highly recommend a visit to York, well worth the drive!

Yesterday, Amol, our Allied Health Manager, and Matthew, our Allied Team Leader, attended the UNDA Physiotherapy Careers Expo at The University of Notre Dame Australia.

It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with future physiotherapists, share insights into working in aged care and community health, and discuss the rewarding career pathways available at Catholic Homes.

We were proud to join a range of organisations across the health sector and speak with students about supporting older Australians to live life to the full through meaningful allied health services.

Thank you to UNDA Physiotherapy for hosting such a valuable event and creating opportunities for students and industry professionals to connect.

Last week, Ocean Star welcomed the Bunbury Vintage Car Club, who brought along a beautiful collection of vintage cars for residents to enjoy. The visit sparked plenty of smiles, stories and special memories.

Joe shared that one of the cars was just like the one he learnt to drive in during his driving lessons and test, a lovely trip down memory lane!

A big thank you to the Bunbury Vintage Car Club and volunteers for bringing such joy to our residents and creating such a special community connection.
