I’m donating my time to speak at the Lions Club of Burwood–Strathfield Diabetes Awareness Forum on Sat 11 Oct, 10:00–12:00 at Woodstock Community Centre.

I’ll cover practical nutrition for diabetes (what to prioritise, how to build a plate, simple swaps). You’ll also hear from an endocrinologist and a podiatrist. Light finger food, tea/coffee & water provided.

Yes, I make falafel from scratch — and no, I don’t deep-fry it!

When I’m not supporting clients with diabetes and chronic conditions, I’m in the kitchen… cooking, prepping, and freezing!

One of my favourites? Homemade falafel — made the traditional way, from soaked chickpeas and fava beans. No cans, no shortcuts. Just real ingredients and a bit of planning.

I shape, brush with oil, and bake. That’s it.

Healthy food doesn’t need to be boring — it can be full of flavour, heritage, and joy.
