NEW INNOVATIVE TREATMENT FOR KERATOCONUS - Cornea Repair using reprogrammed stem cells

A Japanese woman in her 40s has become the first person in the world to have her cornea repaired using reprogrammed stem cells. The procedure was performed by ISRS member Dr. Kohji Nishida of Osaka University.

The Japanese woman’s vision has improved since the transplant, say her doctors.
