We are supporting our friends at Just Homes in Margaret River who have requested a Call to Action

Connections Week in Margaret River– Homelessness is everybody’s business, and you can be part of the solution.
We need your help to advocate the importance of counting every person who is experiencing homelessness in AMR.
This is a big bold project and brings with it the potential for real systems-change in the homelessness space, and the whole community is invited to get on board.
Whether you are an organisation or service provider who has contact with people with lived experience of homelessness, or you have lived or living experience, or you’re an individual or business that wants to help, there’s something you can do.

💬 “The Form Whisperer - Could That Be You?”

Every Thursday, 10am–2pm at the Busselton Library
Are you passionate about helping others and improving access to essential community services? We’re looking for a friendly, knowledgeable volunteer to lend a hand to community members who need support completing all sorts of forms and documents.

You could be helping:
✅ Someone complete their superannuation paperwork so they can finally access their savings.
✅ A person living with disability to apply for the Disability Support Pension.
✅ A family navigate Department of Housing applications to find stable accommodation.

If you’re patient, detail-oriented, confident with basic technology, and love connecting with people, this role is for you!

💬 What’s in it for you?
• The satisfaction of making a genuine difference in people’s lives.
• Connection with your community.
• Experience in advocacy, community support, and practical assistance.
• A warm, welcoming team that values your contribution.

🥕A Dash of Care, A Pinch of Purpose - Become a LAMP Cook!

Join LAMP’s $3.50 Frozen Meal Initiative
LAMP has a strong and deep connection to the community it serves and we know that food insecurity is a real issue for many local people. We’re looking for passionate community members with a love for cooking (and a good heart) to help us bring affordable, nutritious meals to life.

If you fancy spending a few hours in our LAMP kitchen on a Monday or Friday morning, we’d love to have you become our team of community cooks! The project is still rolling out, so meal prep frequency and scheduling are flexible, though a fortnightly commitment would be ideal.

You won’t be on your own, ECU health science students have kindly created recipes complete with nutritional information, freezing guidelines, and cost breakdowns. And for those of you who love a bit of culinary creativity, there’s room to add your own flair (while staying within budget) to make meals that will truly resonate with our community.

This initiative is about more than food, it’s about community, connection, and collective care. Together, we can make sure everyone in our community has access to a good meal.

If this sounds like something you’d love to be part of, please contact:
📧 Lee Hill – lhill@lampinc.org.au

Let’s cook up something great, together.

Hey Busselton 💛

When most services close, the need for support doesn’t stop and once again, our community has shown up in the most incredible way.

Yesterday we had some little helpers by our side as we filled the Really Really Free Pantry with love and kindness. It’s now full and ready for anyone who needs it, please help yourself.

And to everyone who continues to support the donation point at Coles Vasse, thank you. Your generosity truly makes a difference. 🙏✨
