A Year of Baby Sensory in the South West
What an awesome first year it has been!! I started this business in February 2019 and have absolutely loved every minute of it. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to meet some beautiful families and watched some little legends grow. It will be sad to finish this term knowing that the babies that started with me in term 1 this year will be too old to continue with Baby Sensory next year.
Baby Sensory is a development class specifically designed for babies aged 0-13months and their adults. Our classes run on a term by term basis and each session goes for 1 hour, once a week. During class you will have lots of fun, learn all about your baby’s development and meet other new parents and families. Every session is different so you will never see the same class twice with over 40 lesson plans to cover the four, ten week terms. Each session has a unique theme and might involve puppet shows, light shows, parachutes, balloons, balls, bubbles, music, instruments, singing, baby signing, baby massage, dancing, movement, ribbons, colours, textures, and so much more!
I am the business owner and class leader and my name is Ashleigh. I have a Bachelor of Science (Sports Science) and a Graduate Diploma in Education (Early Childhood). I am passionate about helping to bring back the village that we’ve all heard it takes to raise a child. I like to think that I can be a part of your village, a resource with information and support to help you on your journey. I can also connect you with a number of other services that might be of some benefit. I also just love hanging out with babies! It is so rewarding to watch the wonder, amazement and smiles on babies faces, and parents faces too.
The best part about what I do, is the positive impact I get to have on each baby’s development. Whether it’s through exposure to new things and doing the activities in class, or through educating parents about their baby’s development and ways to support it at home, I like to think I help to lay a good foundation of cognitive development that sets every Baby Sensory baby up with a great start to lifelong learning.
