A little flashback to December when our talented nurse Holly featured on an episode of The Bloomly Podcast with Tegan Scates. They discussed what to look for in a clinic and what separates clinics with high quality care from the rest.

This is a good one for anyone considering Natural Therapies. Have a listen and give us a call to chat with one of our friendly, knowledgeable nurses (yes, Nurse Holly is one of them!) about next steps, free of charge. Call 02 5642 5024 or set up a time with the team here https://anandaclinics.com.au/questions-were-here-to-help/.

A new driving law has taken effect in Victoria.

The amendment gives magistrates the power to use their discretion when sentencing people who have tested positive to plant medicine in a random roadside test if they were unimpaired at the time and hold a valid prescription.

Commenting on the 1 March law change, Penington Institute CEO John Ryan said:

“Nobody should drive while they are impaired by any substance, including prescribed drugs such as medicinal cannabis.

But patients who are not impaired and are using medicinal cannabis as directed by their doctor pose little if any safety risk and should be treated accordingly.

The new rule is a sensible policy and a win for fairness.

Medicinal cannabis patients should not be forced to choose between their medicine and their mobility."

Stretching isn’t just for athletes—it’s for everyone!

Regular stretching helps improve flexibility, reduce muscle tension, and increase blood flow. It can also boost posture, enhance relaxation, and prevent injury.

When stretching, consistency is key to reap the benefits. Take a few minutes each day to stretch- your body will thank you! đŸ§˜â€â™‚ïž

New research from the University of South Australia shows that adopting a healthy diet can reduce the severity of chronic pain.

Researchers found that a greater consumption of foods within the Australian Dietary Guidelines was directly associated with lower levels of body pain, particularly among women.

Importantly, these findings were independent of a person’s weight, meaning that despite your body composition, a healthy diet can help reduce chronic pain.

Is it stress or anxiety, and what’s the difference?

Both stress and anxiety are emotional responses. Stress is typically caused by an external pressure or demand. The stressor can be long or short term but it usually goes away once the situation is resolved.

Anxiety, on the other hand, is a persistent feeling of worry or fear, that doesn’t go away even when there is no clear threat or stressor.

Anxiety and stress can lead to the same symptoms: insomnia, difficulty concentrating, fatigue, muscle tension, and irritability.

Both stress and mild anxiety can respond well to lifestyle changes such as improving sleep hygiene, physical activity, a nutritious diet and relaxation techniques.

If your stress or anxiety doesn’t respond to these lifestyle changes or is impacting your quality of life, you may want to consider talking to a doctor and explore your treatment options.

Recent research from the University of Sydney's Lambert Initiative finds a notable shift from illicit to prescribed medicinal cannabis by many consumers compared to prior surveys.

Professor Nicholas Lintzeris, lead researcher from the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney says “A number of benefits were identified in moving to prescribed products, particularly where consumers reported safer ways of using medical cannabis. People using illicit cannabis were more likely to smoke their cannabis, compared to people using prescribed products who were more likely to use oral products or vaporised cannabis, highlighting a health benefit of using prescribed products”.

Overall, respondents reported positive outcomes of medical cannabis use, with 95 percent reporting improvement to their health.
