The time has come for me to step aside and for Munster Music Academy to find a new passionate owner who will continue to grow and build the legacy I created almost 13 years ago with a dream and desire to start a music academy in Killaloe.

All our fabulous teachers both in-person and online will remain teaching at MMA in September. They are wonderfully supportive and understanding of my decision. MMA has been my baby for the past 13 years and everything will remain as it is now including my directorship until I find a new equally committed owner.

Thank you to each and every one of my students who were and continue to be my greatest teachers. To each of the parents for wanting to include music in their children's lives and value the space and opportunity, it can create. Finally to each of my teachers, present and past who have become dear friends, confidants and who are the most wonderful melange of musicians, teachers, educators, mentors, artists, and role models for both me and for each of our students.

Devastation has ripped through our beloved community of the Northern Rivers and NSW with devastating floods destroying homes, irreplaceable family belongings, businesses, schools, vulnerable animals, farms, and displacing hundreds and thousands of families and their loved ones young and old. 🖤

To raise emergency funds I join tomorrow in Byron Bay for Cello Chai & Chanting.

Let’s gather for a little while, create harmony and donate what you can afford to our neighbouring towns and communities. 🙏

I truly cannot express how much each of your written messages, memories, love, sympathies, videos, voice messages, flowers, plants, and cards have meant and supported both Costas and me in these darkest of days. I have read, cried and savoured each of your words and shared memories. I am beyond overwhelmed by your outpouring of love for my Dad, Mom, Costas and me.
I would like to reply to each of you and I will.

His funeral Mass is this morning in Ireland. We prepare to watch it from Australia. I can’t deliver on my promise physically so Costas said we should do this for him and my Mom Ria. I send this there hoping she will see it somehow and knowing he can see it as he is my criost an tsiol - My Christ by my side always. 🖤

RIP Pops. My hero. My biggest fan and critic. Mom’s everything. My favourite photo of us in our happy place on our beach in Wexford where he taught me to swim aged two, taught me how to sprint like you did as an all-Ireland champion, and how to hit a hurley stronger than any boy on the beach 🖤 I love and cherish the memories we made. My heart is broken today.

Happy Diwali from Lo**ta & Me.
Twenty minutes later after a bumpy dusty ride on the scorched earth. She stopped shuddered and dropped what I though was a baby elephant. It turns out she had not done a number 2 for weeks her trainer informed me. The village was delirious with joy at her “passing” I can honestly say I have NEVER smelt anything as horrific in my life and I couldn’t run away from it as I was sitting on her.

They advised her to have a bath and invited me to get it with her. See second photo. I was the chosen one with my powers made her “go”. I basically couldn’t refuse as the entire village was looking at me expectantly with blinding wide smiles. Tara in Hindi means star. I was an omen to them. They bedecked me with bangles flowers and bindi and chanted my name. I may have levitated but I was in an elephant I reminded myself.

Into the water I went with Lo**ta covered in her own business. “You want wet Tara?” They shouted. I didn’t have a clue until she dipped her trunk into the rank water and tooted it over her shoulder. Note to all. Do NOT open your mouth when a elephant is shooting rank water out of its trunk at you. Result. Dysentery & 4 days in hospital. Worry it for the shot.
