Can you believe that it has been 12 months this we furled up the tent flaps of our beloved Bamboo Yoga Tentple for the very last time?😢
What a year it has been, change always inevitable, seems to be in fast forward for many of us. Some wonderful changes, but not always, the only certainty (as always) is the present, this moment, this breath, as always yoga reminds us of the perennial Truth.
Every week I hear from someone about how much they miss Bamboo Yoga. Yes we know, we do too, the further that we draw away into the future, the more that we realise what a magical thing it was that we had. It was the best of all of us, the architects, the builders, the benefactors , the amazing teaching faculty and most especially the students who came and practiced, it the heat, sun and cold, dodging mosquitoes, floods and wet carpets, we came together, 30 times every week for 7 years and shared our practice, it truly was the best of times 🙏
For me it has been a difficult transition, Bamboo Yoga was my love child, but as my teachers were so fond of telling me, yoga practice is the art of letting go… so whilst I remember the place and all you wonderful people with such love, grateful and proud that I could be a part of co-creating something so truly wonderful - at the same time I look forward with optimism, as always I am a firm believer in the good things still to come. But most importantly I do my best to fully inhabit the present, this day, being available to experience and participate in the magic available to us within this moment. ✨
Wishing you all the best, wherever you are, I sincerely hope that you are continuing with a practice in some form, as the years roll by, I have come to appreciate that a yoga practice is a dear friend in a storm, and the storms as always, continue to brew. 🌪️
I am still teaching, podcasting, writing, running courses in Bali, Byron and online, I have some ideas for this page so we might see some changes here presently, as things continue effervescently to evolve. 🕉️
