It always starts as a herbal scribble

And then I build in herb volume and synergy. 🌿

This one’s for a hormone health blend to modulate oestrogen and progesterone ratios and improve overall fertility πŸŒ€

In the name of accessibility $40 mini consults are now available.

I’ve heard time and time again that naturopaths are too expensive and out of reach for people right here and now, let’s change it up.

You can book in a mini $40 consult and get started with what you need and can do right now.

I’ve spent the last week of time with family member who has reduced accessibility to everyday normalities and it’s hard to see.. let’s open up some possibilities for better health and living for everyone.

Mini consults include any questions, supplement support and functional testing insights you require.

You can book via my website or send me a message

Big love, bless, and be healthy 🧑Sez

Flowers from my wild garden.
The night George and I left our little beach home to move to warmer shores the last thing we did at 1:30am after packing up our lives and cleaning our place ready for its new residents was to throw a bag of Calendula seeds over the retaining wall and say a little prayer hoping they would take off. Last week I went back to visit and collect some textbooks, our records and a few special things. I was so happy to see the Calendula had grown so big. Calendula is such a special herb, it helos your lymphatic system clear and stagnation so can be very helpful after an infection. It has super potent anti-inflammatory properties too and pairs really nice with Turmeric. I love it because it is an old folk remedy and grows so freely in many gardens, if youre lucky to have a little patch of dirt or a pot you can grow something in Calendula can help your wellbeing for many moons to come.

Thank you Julie for the seeds 🧑

It is estimated that 1.1 million Australian Women are iron deficient. The primary cause of this is blood loss due to menstrual cycles. Lower Iron stores can also be linked with impaired gastrointestinal health and insufficient dietary intake. Check your iron regularly and boost it back up if it is in the lower half of the reference range.

If you are a heavy bleeder or experience menstrual issues there is a lot that Naturopathic care can offer. Don't bleed and suffer each month, look to nourish you body one simple step at a time.

Peace, love and happy bleeding wahine.

Healthy eating doesn't have to cost you a bomb. George and I have been slowly munching our way through one $12 bag of Brazil nuts and so far it has lasted us 2 months. You only need 3 Brazil nuts a day to get your RDA of Selenium. How good!

I'm always a big fan of food as medicine first and always push for diversity and nutrient density for all of my clinical peps.

Magnesium is a foundational nutrient for you health and wellbeing. Many people run deficient in it and their health suffers as a result. A quick and easy way to check if you are running low on magnesium is to stick your tongue out in the mirror for 5-8 seconds, if you notice it shake or quiver you likely need to top up your magnesium reserves. The more stressed out we are the faster we burn through magnesium, likewise if you are really active your musculoskeletal system will have higher magnesium needs and your muscles might cramp up in the evening or after strenuous exercise.

My fav food sources of magnesium are cacao, quinoa and spray free spinach. Often when working with Women in clinic we supplement with a women's reproductive magnesium that supports oestrogen metabolism and reduces menstrual cramps.

We aren't taught much (...anything) about our baseline nutrients in School; how they help our body to function and what can happen if we are deficient in one (or many) of them. I'm going to share a smattering of nutritional info here for your reading pleasure.

You could be deficient in Zinc if you:
- Have a copper IUD
- Are always getting sick
- Have allergies (food or seasonal)
- Have an impaired gut lining and digestive symptoms
- Have an inflammatory skin condition or wounds that will not heal
- Have been exposed to chemicals or heavy metals
- Don't eat a balanced whole food diet that is predominantly unprocessed
