There are some lovely opportunities this week for get-togethers, talks and fulfilling meetings, and for travel, both long and short trips.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday are promising days for negotiations and for making agreements, although you must avoid seeing yourself as being less than you are.
You may be asked for help and, if you need some support or direction, be sure to ask for it as it will be available. Some travellers may experience disruptions or delays, so be sure to make contingency plans.
Wishing everyone in Far North Queensland a smooth journey through the cyclone and everyone in the south (Victoria) a smooth path through the fires.
The entry of Venus in the sign Aquarius on Saturday will bring our curiosity to the surface, so if there’s something you’ve always wanted to do, but never have done, the upcoming weeks will be ideal for forays into the unknown.
I hope you have a good week! x

Happy new year! It’s going to be a fast-paced year, one where resilience and character will put you in a strong position. This makes it a good time to build on your skillsets and to ditch habits that no longer work for you.
The Earth is currently closest to the sun this year in its elliptical orbit, making this a potentially intense time - and again, due to the sun’s (generally) positive influence over the Earth (bringing light and heat), this is a proactive time.
In addition, the current sun, Venus and Mars alignment brings passions, creativity and direction into focus as the year begins. We may ask: how am I going to bring more of what - or who - I love into my life?
The answer, for this week, is: by being practical, realistic, and taking methodical steps…through planning, preparation and positivity…
Meetings with those you love and a sense of possibility and plausibility also bring a positive aspect to the week. Romance, the arts and creativity can thrive, as can those of us with more of a focus on finances and work. It comes down to taking the initiative and taking action...
Next weekend, planetary oppositions may mean the need to make a key decision or simply to prioritise others and prevailing circumstances.
I hope you have a fantastic week, full of potential and possibility!
🌞 I will be chatting about the upcoming year on ABC North Coast radio on Monday, January 5, so tune in if you like (at approximately 8.35am) on 94.5FM for the northern rivers NSW area.
✨If you are in the Byron Bay area and would like to learn how to develop your psychic, clairvoyant and mediumistic abilities, I will be running a four-week course (four mornings a week) in February in Byron Bay. For more information, message me or see here for more: https://www.patsybennett.com/events Hope to see you there!

What a year! It has proceeded at breakneck speed for so many of us, so I hope you’ve had a chance to relax over the festive season…
This week’s lead-up to Saturday’s Cancerian full moon will be an excellent time to be aware of which projects, interests and relationships you are outgrowing and to decide if these can grow with you (with a little nurturance) or whether you are subtly moving in a fresh direction?
On Tuesday and Friday, some communications and travel may be more complex than usual so be sure to exercise caution and patience.
New Year’s Eve may entail a surprise. In my 2025 Astrology Diary, I wrote: ‘Be prepared to alter your plans at the last minute. You may be pleasantly surprised by developments. If you need to make impromptu changes then rest assured your efforts will be effective.’
Next Saturday’s full moon in Cancer contains a seed that, if watered, can take you in a successful growth curve throughout the year. Decisions around the full moon will encourage you to put your own needs first. After all, it’s impossible to prioritise others’ needs if you yourself are not on peak form.
Wishing everyone a wonderful New Year 2026 and thank you for your support during 2025. I hope you have a lovely week.x
🌞 For a sneak peek into 2026, see my latest blog…pro tip: if you are not an astrologer or an astrology student, don’t let some of the astrological terminology put you off, especially at the start of the article. Happy summer solstice* to everyone in the southern hemisphere (and winter solstice in the northern hemisphere) as the sun enters the earth sign of Capricorn on Monday (in Australia)**.
There may well still be mysteries in the making this week: if you are unsure of your next step or if you are even unsure of yourself, the sun in Capricorn will certainly help you take practical steps to move forward with fresh direction and resolve.
This is a good week to take realistic and practical steps towards bringing about the life that you would like in 2026 but beforehand, of course we will focus on the solstice and Christmas!
Wishing everyone a wonderful seasonally festive time. And even if there are some aspects of your life you are unsure of - or even if you are missing someone - rest assured that time can be equally as healing and revealing as it sometimes appears to be unrelenting.
Wishing everyone a happy solstice, Merry Christmas and enjoying all the love and support of family, friends and community. x

This week is an excellent time to look for information and fresh perspective…as you are likely to achieve the clarity you’re looking for on certain issues.
So be sure to avoid making important decisions before you have the full facts, especially on Monday and midweek. Look for more information instead if necessary. You may even discover an unexpected or even quirky new path.
Next Saturday’s new moon is going to supercharge your plans, and will bring a sense of progress and at least of truth over the days that follow the new moon.
That said, for some people, a degree of confusion becomes more of a focus in the lead-up to the new moon … but the good news is that Saturday’s new moon, which will be in Sagittarius, will certainly help incentivise you to do adequate research and to talk with people who can help you, which will provide direction, understanding and motivation as you set goals moving forward.
I hope you have a great week. x

The sun in Sagittarius until the solstice brings our mind to beliefs: who and what do you believe in?
Belief and faith in your own self has to be important…and then believing that you have superhuman, supernatural or spiritual help with your endeavours adds the special sparkle!
This photo shows beautiful architecture in one of the most fascinating places I have ever lived in. Buildings that are simply in reverence of a higher power never cease to inspire…
This is a good time to consider how your own beliefs, faith and spirituality inform your everyday existence and the actions you take.
It’s certainly a good time to build faith - not only in yourself, but also in others and in higher powers.
Monday is an excellent day for getting things done and being constructive and obtaining the information you need for your projects to succeed. However Tuesday is a different picture; you may need to be patient and some things may be delayed towards Thursday when you may receive unexpected news or will need to adapt to an unfolding circumstance.
It’s always a good thing to be a spontaneous but not so ideal to be impulsive this week - especially towards the end of the week. Think twice.
Have a good week!

You’ll be pleased to hear that the Mercury retrograde phase has ended, but bear in mind that Mercury is still in its shadow phase and so communications, trips and financial matters may not be completely back on track for another couple of weeks (depending on your own personal astrological chart)…
The existing plethora of planets in water signs is conducive to personal development, although fire and earth signs may need to earth and ground yourself more than usual to avoid feeling lost or overwhelmed by circumstances…
Luckily, Venus enters Sagittarius on Monday, bringing the prevailing sense of adventure and excitement into focus, allowing enjoyment of this progressive time.
Meanwhile, the upcoming supermoon in Gemini on Friday is one of the most powerful of the year.
If you have found yourself questioning your path and development, this full moon will spotlight exactly where you feel you could make some changes. These may not necessarily be easily made, but bear in mind, the flexibility of your circumstances alone (as you’re able to contemplate change) opens the doors to opportunities.
I hope you have a fantastic week. x

New horizons are calling!
As we head towards the end of the year, for many of us this is the time of year where we sum up the months that have come before - and, as we count our blessings for the year we also prepare for family or social get-togethers.
A beautiful astrological formation, a kite consisting of a trine in water and Pluto at the apex in Aquarius, points to a time where we will feel the call to adventure as well…
For some, this will be simply preparing for a holiday; for others, a much longer-term transformation as major landmarks are reached and fresh ones appear on the horizon…
This is certainly a good week to be planning long-term, most especially plans that may initially appear a little leftfield or even impractical.
The first line of action would be to research deeply the facts necessary for you to step into something new; and then to check with your own internal barometer that these plans resonate deeply.
I hope you have a fab week!

The sun in Scorpio makes beautiful aspects to both Jupiter and Saturn this week, bringing the chance to truly feel into where you wish your life to go, so be sure to listen to your gut…
There are currently five planets retrograde, and that is not including Chiron (only because it’s not a planet)… But Chiron does influence us a great deal…
So what does this mean? It means to a large degree, if you are feeling tired or nostalgic, or that you want to hold back some of your long-term new plans, you may need to make time for your own self-nurture first…
That said, we have some great aspects this week that could really help your immediate plans along, so as long as you have the energy and the motivation and the purpose to move things along, this could be a good week to do so, especially as we have the new moon on Thursday.
This will be a new moon in Scorpio, the sign that can help with self-transformation and transformation of circumstances.
It’s certainly a good week to get your ducks in a row if you’re feeling on top of things and to set things in motion in the days after the new moon.
To keep this in perspective (regarding the retrograde planets): if your plans involve the past in some way, and involve changing the outcome of some of your past decisions, then this is an excellent time to make tracks. But it’s not as excellent a time for beginning something entirely new (unless you already put plans in motion several weeks ago), as you may encounter delays (this will depend on your own astrological chart)…
This new moon will be an excellent time to make a wish … but as always, be careful what you wish for because it will certainly come true.
I hope you have a fantastic week. x

Mercury and Mars in Sagittarius will certainly bring the adventurous out in us all and this will be an excellent time to consider travel plans and to find ways to bring more fun and favourite activities into our lives.
Mercury turns retrograde on Monday and Jupiter turns retrograde on Wednesday. If you are planning a trip or anything overseas, or have study plans, considering spiritual development and legal matters, try to get these on the table by Monday if possible.
But if you have the luxury of time and are simply researching your options, then Mercury and Jupiter retrograde will help you to do so.
Mercury conjunct Mars on Thursday suggests you may need to make important financial decisions or undertake key communications.
While Mercury is retrograde, it is always in your interest to be super clear and to do your research very carefully.
Not forgetting that traditionally, a Mercury retrograde phase was only ever one where it was simply not a good time to begin something new - as opposed to a phase of many and severe complexities as it is sometimes viewed today.
How this phase affects you individually comes down to your own personal experience when Mercury is retrograde and it will also depend on what sign Mercury is retrograde in…
It’s true nevertheless that Mercury in Sagittarius can bring a phase that is slightly more complex than usual, but simply from the perspective that you may need to put extra effort into communications and travel to ensure they go well. Some people simply experience fatigue, which is why a Mercury retrograde phase can be excellent simply for taking things a bit more slowly if you can.
Jupiter will be retrograde in Cancer which suggests there will be reason to rethink domestic or personal matters.
I do hope you have a wonderful week. x
🌞As always, these posts are only general in nature and if you are considering major decisions in your life, I definitely recommend a personal consultation.

There are likely to be a few surprises this week. Artistic and creative people may find this a particularly productive time, as you’ll enjoy being motivated by all that inspires!
But if you have already experienced a little adversity to some of your plans, be careful to avoid disagreements because they could lead to conflict fairly rapidly, especially on Monday, mid-week and towards next Saturday.
We could not only lay this tension at the feet of Thursday’s full moon and supermoon in Ta**us, which can bring out intense feelings, but also at several harsh planetary aspects during the week and especially towards Saturday.
However, as Uranus re-enters Ta**us you may find towards the end of the week that you gain opportunities to rectify matters that went slightly pear-shaped mid-year.
Both Mercury and Jupiter will be turning retrograde after the 10th so, if you have important contracts or projects to launch this month, try to do so before then if possible, unless you need more time to research your options.
As usual, I hope you have a fantastic week. x

There are so many go-ahead aspects this week, it would be easy to make great strides in your various projects.
And while it’ll feel good being productive, it’s in your interest to avoid rushing and making assumptions, especially on Tuesday.
Now that the sun is in Scorpio, lust for life and enjoyment of others’ company can thrive and coupled with the generally adventurous tone of the week, any activity that broadens your horizons will appeal, be this travel, study, spiritual development or socialising.
The transformative effect of Scorpio will certainly help you change those aspects of your life that you’ve outgrown, so be prepared to break into fresh territory.
Developments towards Thursday may bring a surprise… I hope it will certainly be a good one for you!
