For me, it's not just the 11 lines themselves.

It's this area here.

That tight, slightly raised look beside them.

The part that can make the face look tense...even when you don't feel tense.

And over the years, I started realising:

This isn't just about the skin.

It's often the muscles underneath holding a repeated pattern of contraction.

So while I absolutely work on supporting the skin surface too...

I also work with helping the muscle and nervous system interrupt the pattern they've learned to hold over time.

Because sometimes it's not the line itself that people feel self-conscious about.

It's the tension the face is carrying underneath it.

This is a very small part of something I teach.

But it's a powerful place to start.

Instead of forcing the muscles to relax...
just bring gentle awareness here.

Between the brows and on the eyebrows.

Slowly soften/gently pinch.

No pressure.
No fixing.

Just interrupting the pattern.

Because your face isn't just holding tension...
it's repeating something it has learned over time.

And this is how you begin to change it.

Not by fighting your face.

But by teaching it something new.
🤍

Not just when you're on your phone.

But when you're thinking.

Planning.
Processing
Holding things in your mind.

That subtle tension between the brows.

It doesn't feel significant.
You may not even realise your holding it.

But repeated throughout the day...
the face begins to learn it.

What you say to yourself in the mirror matters more than you think.

Not just emotionally...
But physically too.

Because your face responds to what it repeatedly experiences.

And that includes your thoughts.

So be kind to yourself 🤍

Most women look in the mirror and go straight to what they don't like.

The lines.
The pigmentation.
The parts that feel like they've changed.

And the way you speak to yourself in that moment...matters more than you think.

Because your face doesn't just reflect how you feel - it responds to it.

What you repeat internally...
your face begins to follow.

So next time you catch your reflection...

Pause.

And find one thing that feels kind. 🩷

Worry doesn't always stay in the mind.

Sometimes it settles into the body.

And often it shows in the face.

That subtle holding between the brows...can become something the nervous system learns.

So even when you're not actively worrying, the muscles can stay slightly contracted.

Over time, the face begins to treat that pattern as normal.

This is one of the reasons frown lines can deepen - not just from what we think, but from what the body has learned to hold.

23/03/2026

One of the things that contributed to my frown lines...was something I never considered could be shaping my face over time.

Avoiding my reading glasses.

Holding my phone further away.
Squinting slightly.
Focusing harder than I needed to.
Enlarging the text.

Until my arm wasn't long enough anymore!

It didn't feel like tension.
It just felt like focusing.

But when you repeat that pattern day after day, the muscles between the brows begin to learn it.

And over time, the face starts to hold it - even at rest.

This is what I mean when I talk about the face learning patterns.

Not just from stress.

But from small, everyday habits we don't even realise we're doing.

And once you see it, you can start to shift it.

19/03/2026

After years of working with skin, I started to realise there was something deeper going on - and that's what led me to kinesiology.

Not just lines.
Not just skin.

But patterns.

Subtle tension between the brows.
Holding the jaw.
A face that looked more tired or tense than the woman actually felt.

And over time I came to understand this;

The face doesn't just change because of age.

It changes because of what the body has been holding.

Concentration.
Responsibility.
Stress we don't even realise we're carrying.

Over time, the face learns these patterns.

And unless something underneath shifts...the tension returns.

And once you understand that, everything starts to make more sense.

I'll be sharing more about this over the next few weeks🤍

Sometimes the face isn't showing age.

Sometimes it's showing what the body has been holding.

Stress patterns.
Responsibility.
Subtle tension we don't even realise we carry.

Over time the face learns these patterns.

But patterns can soften.

And when they do, the face softens with them 🩷
