Health tip — Sleep position How do you sleep? 😴 It actually matters more than most people realise. Sleeping on your stomach puts real strain on your neck and lower back overnight. Dr David Chapman (Chiropractor) recommends sleeping on your side with a pillow between your knees, or on your back with a pillow under your knees — both positions take pressure off your spine while you rest. Did you know your GP can refer you to us at no cost to you?
If you have been living with ongoing back pain, neck pain, sciatica, arthritis, chronic headaches or any other musculoskeletal condition for 6 months or more — you may qualify for a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP).
You may have heard this called different things over the years — an EPC plan, an Enhanced Primary Care plan, a CDM plan, a Chronic Disease Management plan, a GP Management Plan, a Team Care Arrangement or simply a Medicare care plan or Medicare referral. They are all variations of the same Medicare framework. From 1 July 2025 they were all replaced by the single GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP) — but your GP will know exactly what you mean whichever name you use.
Here is what it means in plain English:
✅ Your GP sets up a plan and refers you to a chiropractor
✅ Medicare subsidises up to 5 allied health visits per calendar year
✅ Chiropractic is an eligible allied health service under this plan
✅ At Centrepoint Chiropractic Clinic, we do not charge above what Medicare pays
✅ That means your visits cost you nothing out of pocket
✅ Your 5 visits reset every 1st of January each year
✅ You can split visits across different allied health providers — for example 3 chiropractic and 2 physio
Many Caboolture residents have no idea this exists. Many who do know about it assume their chiropractor will charge a gap fee on top. We do not.
If you are a pensioner, concession cardholder, or simply finding the cost of managing a chronic condition difficult — this plan could make a real difference to your health and your wallet.
What to do:
Simply book an appointment with your GP and ask whether a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP) — also known as a CDM plan, EPC plan or Medicare care plan — is right for you. Once you have your referral, call Judy on 07 5495 1763 and we will take care of the rest.
