I am repeating this webinar due to the overwhelming positive reviews for all attendees!

NDIS reporting: Writing with impact and precision - A practical guide for physiotherapists and exercise physiologists.

Physiotherapists and exercise physiologists play a crucial role in advocating for participants through clear, evidence-based reporting.

This webinar is designed to help physios and EPs write reports that are clear, evidence-based, and aligned with NDIS requirements. By focusing on functional impact, clinical justification, and structured recommendations, you will learn how to turn clinical observations into persuasive, funding-ready reports.

This is an excellent description of what the recent changes are all about. I encourage all my clients to take a read.

Allied health service fees have been locked for the last 7 years, while the cost of living has skyrocketed. Not only has our service fee stayed the same (while everyone gets a pay rise around us - even politicians!!), our travel fee has been slashed by 50%!! Our value when we drive to support our clients in their homes is being devalued.

Please remember, I do not earn a wage of $193.99 p/hour, this is a ‘service fee’ and makes up my business income. From the business income comes CONSIDERABLE costs when running a business, all of which is ever increasing with inflation. Has your insurances significantly increased each year? Yep, mine too - I have to hold multiple policies. What about your petrol, tyres, servicing?? Yep - those too ☹️

The recent reduction in travel fees will be absorbed by the business and my business will have a sharp decrease in income.

While ADL Therapies will be making changes to operating fees and processes, it will be minimal for existing clients and should not disrupt regular service. ADL Therapies will be introducing a cost p/km as well as reducing the service area and travelling less.

Please support your allied health professionals as we have supported you and sign the petitions and contact your local member to express your disapproval. Every voice is important!!!

Thank you!

Struggling to write clear, funder-friendly reports? You're not alone — and there’s a simple solution.

If you’re starting your own private practice (or already deep in it), you know how draining and time consuming it can be to create your own clinical templates or even more nerve wracking - you don't even know what templates to create!!

It can be even harder when you've spent hours on your templates and are now second-guessing your clinical reasoning, or are facing feedback that your documentation isn’t hitting the mark and now you've seen a drop in referrals.

My ready-to-use clinical templates do exactly that!
🙌 Built for many funding programs or private clients
🙌 Easy to customise
🙌 Designed by a clinician who gets it
🙌 Clear structure to help you explain your reasoning
🙌 Proven to support better report outcomes
🙌 Consistently receiving glowing reviews from referrers

Whether you’re a sole trader, or scaling your practice — this is your shortcut to strong, efficient, and effective documentation.

At ADL Therapies, our reports aren’t just tick-box exercises. They’re tailored documents built with our clients, not just for them.

We take the time to understand what matters most to each participant — their goals, daily routines, challenges, and hopes. That way, when we write an NDIS report, it reflects their real needs and supports requests that make a genuine difference.

Client-centred, goal-driven, and grounded in real life — that’s how we help participants get the supports they need, and deserve.

Need help with your NDIS therapy or equipment report? We’re here to make the process easier and more empowering.

Let’s talk about reading with independence and dignity.

I’ve recently had the pleasure of introducing the OrCam Read to four different clients — and the results have been incredible.

For people living with low vision, dyslexia and reading fatigue, even simple tasks like reading a recipe, a medication label, your NDIS or HCP plan/paperwork, a personal letter, or a birthday card can become overwhelming and downright intrusive when you need someone to read your personal information!

💡 The OrCam Read changes that.
It’s a lightweight, portable smart reader that uses a camera and AI to read text out loud—instantly. It doesn’t rely on internet access, and it works on both printed material and screens.

It’s easy. It’s fast. It’s empowering, and most importantly? It works.

Here’s what I’ve seen firsthand:
✅ One client with sensory neuropathy to read and engage in FB posts, read recipes and novels again - opening up her world again
✅ A stroke survivor managing their own medication schedule - relying less on his informal support network and building confidence and independence
✅ A gentleman who needed support in the community to read street signs, medical paperwork, menus at restaurants and engage in his own business administration duties - relying less on his wife
✅ A client who is legally blind read his own bills, personal letters and now doesn't' have to get his neighbour to read them

These are more than wins—they’re moments of independence regained. That’s the power of good assistive technology, paired with the right OT support.

💬 If you, your client, or a loved one is struggling with reading or visual processing—this could be a game-changer.

Get in touch if you'd like to explore whether the OrCam Read (or other tech solutions) might be right for your situation. Let’s work together to remove barriers and create more “I can do it myself” moments.

Let’s talk about connection—not just as a luxury, but as a lifeline.

For many of our clients, especially those living with cognitive decline, recovering from a stroke, acquired brain injury, dementia, or ageing alone - staying in touch can feel impossibly hard. Touch screens, login screens, tiny buttons—they can become major barriers to something as simple as saying “hello” or 'help'.

That’s why I’m a fan of the CareWindow video phone—a beautifully simple solution that brings connection back within reach. No fiddly apps. No confusion. Just one-touch video calling with the look and feel of a landline.

But here’s the bigger picture:
📍 It’s not just about technology - It’s about helping people maintain independence, stay safe, and feel seen.

That’s what occupational therapy is all about.

🧠 So if you have a loved one who’s becoming more isolated, or if you’re supporting clients who are struggling to stay connected—I’d love to chat. Let’s explore tools and strategies that actually work, in real homes, for real people.

When the world feels out of control... what can we do?

While ADL Therapies remains closed due to the impending cyclone, we hope all our clients, friends and family are prepared and remain safe.

Here is a document that documents the 6 P's for Mental Well-Being - vital in times like these.

Professor Frances Kay Lambkin shares some great advice on how to be resilient and manage our mental health when things get out of our control.
