Update on the vent. We deposited her at a friend's place today after trying to find somewhere else yesterday. I had to give an ultimatum to get her to leave. Came home to silence, bliss!
I have learned a lot in the past week. I understand how families find it hugely difficult to care for those with mental illness, because frankly, some are very unpleasant and self centred. At no time was there an apology for turning up at Christmas. At no time was our feelings consulted or taken into account. So, even if it was horrible, there is always some takeaway.

For awhile I have trying to describe a personality type i call the chaos merchant. They arrive in a space and fill it while sucking all the oxygen out of the world. They wrap the world around them to suit themselves. The positive version is warm and funny. The negative is a black hole, a narcissist that wants everything their way. This is as far as I've gotten right now. The chaos merchants i know i am removing from my space because I like peace. Let me know your thoughts.

Warning, vent coming. Today I lost my temper with our house guest because they ate the special gluten free donuts I had in the freezer for my grandson's birthday. I had already put up with dogs peeing on the carpet and my vacuum, having my stuff moved because she wanted to clean but didn't move it back, leaving a hose dripping.Today she walked around in pyjamas while a male guest was here and then my husband found the donut box. I am so sick in the stomach but guests should check before they eat a whole box of donuts or put clothes on in someone's home or not expect a chauffeur service. Nor should they turn up a week before Christmas with 2 dogs when we don't have a dog friendly yard. We have cane toads and snakes. No good deed goes unpunished.

I'm tired and I'm sad. My wonderful country is torn apart by hate and racism. Like you, I know the only way to heal the division is by love and kindness. I understand people are angry and looking for someone to blame. No One is asking how this came about. Nothing will change until we let go of hate. Nothing will get better until we stand united. So today, can I please get some hearts on this page? Let's spread a little love around. Thank you.

Yesterday something terrible happened in my country and people were hurt and died. They died because of hate and division. It wasn't personal, just hate. At this time, more than ever, we need love and kindness. If we are kind we can all get to enjoy life. My heart goes out to the victims and their families.
