As part of the newly released maps from the 40 chain Moreton District AG2 series, The Museum of Land, Mapping and Surveying now have the earliest sheet 6 north, dated 1898, covering the parish of Canning over Caboolture.

By 1925, the same map sheet shows a changing landscape – with new features added, including the railway line to Kilcoy in the bottom left. A side-by-side look at how Queensland’s towns and infrastructure grew in just a few decades.
