Summer Solstice ✨🌞✨
A moment of peak light, presence, and radiance
The Summer Solstice has just passed — the longest day of the year here in the Southern Hemisphere — when the sun reaches its highest point in the sky and the light stretches to its fullest expression.
For centuries, this moment has been honoured across cultures as a turning point in the seasonal cycle. A see-saw of balance — where expansion reaches its peak, before the gentle inward turning begins.
In the yogic and ta***ic traditions, the Summer Solstice is considered to be a potent energetic portal — a magical passage in the year where we are flooded with high-vibrational solar light. This light is said to support healing, regeneration, and growth — illuminating not only the body, but the inner landscape — inviting us to deepen into our spiritual hearts with clarity, warmth, and presence.
It’s said that practices offered around the solstice help strengthen the Radiant Body — the field of confidence, coherence, and magnetism that surrounds us — inviting us to stand more fully in our light while remaining grounded and steady.
This week in class, we’ll be gently weaving these Summer Solstice themes through our practice. We’ll begin by taking a moment in meditation to connect inward and invoke the Divine Light Mantra, before moving into a practice that honours both expansion and integration:
🌞 honouring the fire and fullness of summer
🌿 softening excess heat and tension in the body
💛 opening the heart while supporting the nervous system
✨ reflecting on what has come to fruition — and what is ready to be released
A practice of expansion and integration. Light and grounding. Movement and deep rest.
You’re warmly invited to join us on the mat this week as we move, breathe, and settle into this powerful seasonal threshold with our own Sundara Ritual and blessing — allowing the body to receive, recalibrate, and realign with the rhythms of nature.

A gentle note for our community:
Wednesday morning class will not be running this week, as I’ll be with my mum through a sudden surgery. I’m grateful to be able to be by her side and offer my care and presence at this time. Your kind thoughts and blessings are warmly received 🤍
