Traditional Usui Reiki Practitioner. I have over ten years' experience within youth support performing roles within management, coordination, case-management, crisis, homelessness and education. I'm now moving forward within the NDIS sector providing one on one individual support to participants within our community. I poses extensive knowledge of the service sector within the Cairns community. I pride myself on my ability to provide friendly support and assistance. I am punctual, companionate and empathic while being professional in my delivery of services. I encourage empowerment and strength based capacity building, while providing, assistance around daily living and core supports. Traditional Usui Reiki Practitioner:

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. A Reiki treatment is a way of increasing your life energy. A practitioner will transmit Reiki to the client through the hands. The hands are lightly placed on or near the body in various positions around the head, shoulders, stomach and feet. Sometimes a practitioner will also treat above the body. A treatment can feel like a warm glowing radiance that flows through the body. It is a very relaxing experience and some clients report the body feeling heavy as it relaxes and yet the spirit or emotions feeling light at the same time. A treatment will usually release negative feelings or thoughts leaving the client feeling more positive, light hearted and with feelings of well-being.

When facilitating Kids Yoga Therapy classes my intention is to bring children back into nature and their environment that surrounds them by having the classes in an outdoor setting as much as possible.

This gives young people the chance to engage in all the elements of their environment, sight, sound, smell, breeze, sun, water, earth, grounding, plant life and animal life.

Not surprisingly, when people spend time in nature feelings of vigor and vitality are increased.

Towards the end of some classes we use the items within our environment where we create a group art piece, brining about further connection to the environment.

Sound meditation is a wonderful way of reducing the negative effects of trauma. Many children are crying during the therapy and may need physical contact like hugs, holding a hand, cuddle and so on. All of them are very calm and peaceful. Tears mean the purifying process has begun and these blocks are being removed.”

This is good group work for children where they may lay in a circle where they feel connected and safe in each other’s company creating a trusting, harmonious space for releasing.

Daily positive affirmation’s support young people with a positive outlook on themselves it’s a refreshing way to use self-talk, turn around negative internal messages, and motivate themselves.

In Yoga Therapy we work with movement individually and in group work creating trusting relationships with others, mindfulness, meditation, breath-work, positive affirmations, colour therapy, sound and texture creating a very relaxing session where young people leave the class feeling relaxed and peaceful.

Our kids' brains are tired, and children of all ages really need opportunities where they can take time out each day "unplugged" to relax and focus. Meditation offers this break and helps kids function more effectively and clearly. Children today also have reportedly high stress levels.

Meditation supports Increased focus and prolonged attention span. Reduced stress and anxiety. Stronger mental resilience. Improved emotional regulation.

Positive affirmation is practiced through out the sessions creating peace, calm and harmony for the child.

Positive self affirmations handouts provided to the children for them to take home along with meditation practices.

Please reach out if currently $100 for 5 classes is not affordable at this current point in time due to job loss etc but your child needs the support, I’m open to discussion around affordability and helping your child move forward.
