💚 Today kicks off Disability Action Week 2025.

This week is about something pretty real. A lot of people with disability still face barriers that have nothing to do with their ability. It’s usually the world around them.

Things like:
💬 Information that’s hard to understand
🤝 Feeling talked over in decisions
🌱 Missing out on community because support isn’t flexible

This year’s theme Communicate. Connect. Create. is about fixing that.

Communicating in ways people can follow.

Connecting so no one feels shut out or alone.

Creating options that let people take part in life, not sit on the sidelines.

💙 Able to obtain a blue card and yellow card
📍 Based in Cairns and has own car

The 12-month transition period for the updated NDIS support lists ended on 2 October 2025. So what does this mean for you?

✅ Purchases must be classified NDIS supports
✅ Non-approved items may result in debt (even under $1,500)
✅ The NDIA has safeguards in place — manual checks, review options, and flexible payment plans
