We know that finding the right mental health support can feel daunting. You might be wondering if it will actually make a difference.

Here’s what we offer, without the fluff.

Lynn is a credentialed mental health nurse. Her approach? To provide mental health support that is grounded in understanding trauma, for people of all ages. This includes support for things like depression, anxiety, PTSD, and helping kids and teens who are struggling. Lynn also has experience working with migrants and refugees.

It’s not just about talking. It’s also about practical strategies for managing difficult behaviours, or support with recovery from self-harm and addiction.

🌟 A Triumph in Telehealth & Collaboration! 🌟

This week, our team at National Care Society had the pleasure of working alongside the incredible specialists at Aidacare to deliver life-changing assistive technology solutions for one of our amazing participants.

By harnessing the power of technology, we were able to conduct a remote assessment via video call, connecting our participant directly with an Occupational Therapist right from the comfort of their trialed bed! This seamless collaboration ensured that their specific needs were met promptly and effectively, without delay.

A huge thank you to the wonderful team at Aidacare for your expertise and partnership. Together, we are breaking down geographical barriers and ensuring that every individual can access the support they need to live more independently and confidently.

This is what modern, person-centred care looks like! 💙

We are incredibly proud to announce that Chanel has been nominated for Cairns' Best Carer! This nomination is a true testament to her dedication, compassion, and the amazing support she provides every single day. Chanel is an absolute asset to our NCS team and truly deserves this recognition.

The search for Cairns' Best Carer is on, run by Murray Jones and Senior Helpers Far North Queensland, and we're thrilled to see Chanel in the running!

The winner will be announced on Wednesday, September 24, during a special 4CA Outside Broadcast. Let's all keep our fingers crossed for Chanel!
