Today, we’re proud to have a fully equipped workshop and yard that supports our clients across Cairns and beyond.

We’re looking for a motivated Labourer / Trades Assistant to join our team in Cairns!

This is a hands-on role working across marine and metal fabrication; perfect for someone mechanically minded, safety-conscious and eager to learn.

🔸 What you’ll be doing:
✔ Assisting fabricators & welders in the workshop and on-site
✔ General labouring, loading/unloading and tool use
✔ Supporting marine fabrication projects
✔ Keeping a safe, organised workspace

🔸 What we’re looking for:
✅ Construction White Card (mandatory)
✅ Reliable, safety-focused and team-oriented
✅ Physically fit & willing to learn
✅ Previous site, fabrication or marine experience (preferred)
✅ Driver’s licence

Exciting day at Orange Fabrication as we welcomed Sunlover Reef Cruises glass bottom boat into our Woree yard for scheduled maintenance and upgrades.

Two cranes, one very impressive lift and now the vessel is safely in our workshop where our team will be getting to work ensuring it’s in top shape for its next run out to the reef.

We’re proud to support local marine tourism operators, with expert fabrication and maintenance services, both onsite and at our fully equipped workshop in Cairns.

What a year 2024 has been! Thank you to all of our clients for their continued support; looking forward to tackling some new projects with you in 2025.

The Orange Fabrication team will be taking a break over Christmas and New Years, ready to tackle 2025.

Our last day of work will be Friday, 20 December and returning on Monday, 6 January 2025.
