Exciting day at Orange Fabrication as we welcomed Sunlover Reef Cruises glass bottom boat into our Woree yard for scheduled maintenance and upgrades.

Two cranes, one very impressive lift and now the vessel is safely in our workshop where our team will be getting to work ensuring it’s in top shape for its next run out to the reef.

We’re proud to support local marine tourism operators, with expert fabrication and maintenance services, both onsite and at our fully equipped workshop in Cairns.

What a year 2024 has been! Thank you to all of our clients for their continued support; looking forward to tackling some new projects with you in 2025.

The Orange Fabrication team will be taking a break over Christmas and New Years, ready to tackle 2025.

SEEKING QUALIFIED BOILERMAKER/WELDER FABRICATOR IN CAIRNS

Orange Fabrication is a locally owned and operated business, specialising in Marine & Specialist Fabrication. We are an essential services industry and established business in Cairns and require another qualified Fabricator to join the Orange Fabrication team:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a casual Boilermaker/Welder Fabricator to join our fast-growing operation. This position is for an immediate start. The successful candidate must be experienced in welding aluminium and steel, have a minimum Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication (or equivalent) and at least 2 - 3 years experience. This is a casual role with potential to become full time for the right candidate.

THE CANDIDATE

• Marine industry and knowledge highly desirable
• Working at heights/confined space certificate preferred
• High-level MIG & TIG welding skills are essential
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Reliable, consistent and productive
• Safety-orientated
• Current Drivers Licence
• Be able to work in Australia without restriction
• Be subject to pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
