Over the break we ran our Prep4Prep program to help kids get ready for school!

Some particularly fun things were the sensory tables, running an ice cream shop, and making our own garden stew!

OT Monique supported pre-writing shapes, sensory regulation, name writing, adaptive scissor use, and tips for opening lunch boxes independently.

SP Leah led group book reading, phonological awareness activities (like rhyming and initial sound identification), letter-sound correspondence, and sequencing tasks.

Throughout the activities, the kids had plenty of opportunities to practice turn-taking, resilience, collaboration, and a growth mindset!

Hello, and welcome back to Small Sprouts Therapy. 👋🏼

If you're new here we're a Paediatric Speech Pathology practice providing services to children aged 0-12.

🌱 We have a team of wonderful and enthusiastic speech pathologists who are looking forward to meeting you and helping your little sprouts achieve their big goals in 2026.

🏫 We are located in Mt Sheridan, Cairns, but also provide telehealth services to those living in rural and remote areas.
