In addition, I have completed a Diploma in Primary Health Care for Indigenous Communities, as well as training in referring for diagnostic testing and prescribing medications to support my advanced practice. My career has seen me work in rural and remote settings in Far North Queensland, delivering high quality care for men, women and children experiencing a broad range of health conditions. As my career has progressed, I have taken on more leadership responsibilities, and have been driven to contribute to ongoing improvement strategies. How I deliver proven results:
I use my clinical skills in combination with strong interpersonal skills and strategic problems-solving skills, to be able to overcome the unique challenges faced when nursing in isolated communities, and model a resilience and resourcefulness that is underpinned by my unwavering passion for supporting patients through quality healthcare provision. In leadership and representative roles, I advocate for best practice clinical care, and can be trusted to provide both outstanding clinical care on a day-to-day basis, as well as contribute to solution-focused planning aimed at building strong teams and health services to best meet the needs of the community.
