Iron is an essential element in our daily diet. Most of the iron in our body is used for erythropoiesis, where it is a vital component of haemoglobin. Iron is also critical for growth, development, normal cellular functioning, and synthesis of hormones and connective tissue.

Iron deficiency is the most common type of nutritional deficiency in the world. Oral iron supplementation is the preferred method of treatment. However, many iron supplements have poor bioavailability and typically produce undesirable adverse effects such as gastrointestinal upset and nausea.

⁡The vagus nerve, meaning 'wandering', is a key nerve in the parasympathetic nervous system. It plays an important role in helping us regain peace and calm when dealing with stress, anger, or fear. ✨🙏
What's amazing is that the vagus nerve forms a 'tree-like' structure inside our bodies, often referred to as the 'Tree of Life' 🌳. The roots grow down from our belly, and the trunk extends upward, bearing fruit at the top.
Practice: Gently place both hands on your heart and take deep breaths ✔️. Since the vagus nerve is connected to the vocal cords, humming ✔️ and gargling ✔️ are also effective. Cooling your face and body ✔️, and if time allows, meditation 🧘🩷✔️ are also great.
