New to the aged care sector, Mukti Sharma has discovered a deep sense of purpose in her role as a Home Support Worker with Regis Home Care in Brisbane.

“I chose to work in aged care because I genuinely care for people. Helping others connect and achieve their goals brings me joy,” she said.

For Mukti, the emotional connections she’s formed with clients are what make her job truly rewarding.

“I absolutely love my job. It’s fulfilling, and I’ve built strong emotional bonds with the clients I care for.”

The Regis Nedlands ballroom recently lit up with glitter, streamers and gold as they hosted a glamourous Masquerade Ball. Eight homes from across WA were in attendance and everyone dressed up and wore beautiful masks for the big day.

Valerie from Regis Greenmount said it was a great event. “The whole day was fantastic – beautifully organised and so much fun.”

Events like these at Regis do more than bring people together, they encourage connection and create lasting memories.

Heather’s strength lies in being present and truly listening. She credits her growth to the support she’s received at Regis, especially from her General Manager, Lisa. With ongoing training and encouragement, Heather says she’s gained confidence and feels more capable in her role.

We are so proud to celebrate one year of Regis Camberwell!

Residents, families and employees all came together to eat, drink and share 'golden memories’ of the year that was.

The Home’s first resident, Thelma, gave a speech and shared, “to see the development of Regis Camberwell has been amazing. On that first day, the employees gave me flowers and chocolates, but the most important thing they gave me was their love and I really appreciated that.”

Regis Shenley Manor came alive yesterday to celebrate a resident Alicia’s 100th birthday! Family, friends, residents and employees came together to enjoy cake and reflect on Alicia’s amazing century.

It was a heartwarming afternoon, and Alicia’s daughters thanked the team at Regis Shenley Manor for their support. “This place has a lovely vibe, a lovely feeling, and that’s a credit to the employees who always have a smile on their face,” Jane said.

The Victoria Police Pipe Band recently stopped into Regis Blackburn to give a lively and energetic performance. Over 100 people were in the audience, including residents, employees and family.

The daughter of one of the residents told employees how much her dad loved the show, having been in a brass band himself. He said it was the best thing he had seen since being moving into aged care.
