The Power of Pallets

The Power of Pallets We aim to upcycle the timber pallets into useful items and have event to raise money for local charities :) About Us
What We Do?

Approximately 140,000 tonnes of wood pallets are sent to landfill in Sydney alone each year. The Power of Pallets helps solve this problem by reusing and recycling old or rundown pallets and turning them into creative designs then either auctions them off in their annual auction night or sells them. All the proceeds they make go to local charities such as the FNQ Hospital Foundation. The founder Kate Fern said she launched her novel project — believed to be the first of its kind in Australia — after starting work at Laminex in Cairns, one of many local companies struggling to keep up with ever-growing piles of pallets. The Power of Pallets Auction Night
The Power of Pallets held their annual auction night on 28th August 2015 and the event kicked off like a house on fire (sort of speak). Everything at the auction was either sold that night or sold the coming day, they raised over $18,000 for the FNQ Hospital Foundation and last year they raised $17,000. The Power of Pallets auctioned off furniture such as indoor/outdoor table settings, kids indoor/outdoor table settings, drawers, daybeds, kids toys such as cars/trucks/building blocks and other decorative fixtures from hangins to ornaments.
