ARC Disability Services Inc. ARC is a community-based organisation providing disability support for over 45 years in Cairns.

Established in 1976 by a group of parents with a vision for their children, we pride ourselves on being person focused, friendly, flexible and fun! Our Vision is that people who have a disability are empowered to reach their full potential, dreams and aspirations, enabling them to enjoy a fulfilling life of their choosing as valued members of the community. We work collaboratively with our service

users, their support networks and the community to facilitate a range of options and opportunities which promote active participation for all.

On any given night in the Cairns CBD alone, up to 240 people are sleeping rough. There are currently 4646 FNQ residents on the state social housing waiting list, waiting on average 29 months to secure a home.

That's why our CEO, Ben, Deputy CEO, Natasha and our HR Manager, Kat, will be joining in the Vinnies FNQ Community Sleepout to raise funds for those in our community who are experiencing or are at risk of homlessness.

The Community Sleepout is one night of sleeping rough. But for many, it’s a devasting daily reality, and possible future for many others on the social housing waitlist if we don’t act on the homelessness and housing crisis.

After months of dedicated training, the team hit the field and delivered a stellar performance with heart, skill, and true sportsmanship. 💪💙

A huge congratulations to the ARC Drama Program performers who took part in this year’s Tropical Arts Shakespeare at the Tanks production of Richard III – an incredible achievement - a stellar ensemble performance – and a fantastic creative journey and production. 🤩

Every performer brought their best self and whole heart to this production and your commitment to weekly rehearsals and the production was extraordinary - and it shone through - you were all truly magic on stage. 👏
