We're thrilled for Seth! Congratulations on healing your ACL and steering clear of surgery!

Seth had the tough break of an ACL rupture and meniscal tear during a basketball game. After a GP consultation, he was referred to Caloundra Sportscare, where we reviewed all his treatment options.

Seth decided to "give his knee a chance to heal," so he began the Global Bracing Method under the guidance of its founder, Dr. Kieran Richardson ().

The Global Bracing Method was devised using a preponderance of the current healing evidence, as well as the totality of the best surgical versus non-surgical data for ACL tear management (Owen et al., 2023), which suggests similar outcomes across key domains, with the presence of a meniscus tear further evidence to delay surgery (Filbay et al., 2017).

Seth has worked hard, balancing gym training with his apprenticeship, and now he’s reaping the rewards. He's back to running, jumping, and enjoying his favourite activities!
