Daffodil Day is a significant event dedicated to raising funds and awareness for cancer research, support services, and prevention programs. Organised by the Cancer Council, it symbolises hope for a cancer-free future.
The daffodil flower is chosen as a symbol of hope and renewal, reflecting the resilience of those affected by cancer. On this day, people across Australia are encouraged to donate, purchase daffodil-themed merchandise, or volunteer, all to support the fight against cancer and improve the lives of those impacted by the disease.

Changes Are Coming to Aged Care - But We’ve Got You Covered!
The Australian Government’s new Support at Home Program launches on 1 November 2025, replacing the Home Care Package system.
If you're already receiving or approved for a Home Care Package before 12 September 2024, you're considered a Grandfathered Client - and that comes with protections.

Here’s a brief outline of what you need to know:
No reassessment required – your care level carries over
Keep your current care team – no need to switch providers
Unspent funds roll over – your HCP balance stays with you
No increase in fees – income-tested contributions stay the same
New service categories – more options to support your needs
Case management fee capped at 10% – more value from your budget
New tech and home modifications – still available, just under a new process.

Key Differences Starting November 1
• Budgets issued quarterly
• No separate package management fee
• Built-in support coordination included
• New categories: Clinical, Personal Support, Independent Living.
